Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin shared a cozy dinner for two in L.A. on Tuesday, the first time they’ve been seen out in public since splitting up in October (photo at right and below). Lawrence, however, has reportedly been spotted by paparazzi a few times since then at Martin’s Malibu house.

The Oscar winning actress and the Coldplay frontman had a very low-key dinner at a place called Kiwami Sushi, where we’re told there was nothing overtly romantic going on between them during the meal, but they were deep into each other’s conversations. “It didn’t look like serious, just kind of focused on each other,” Gossip Cop is told.

The dinner coincidentally was on the same day an interview came out in which his ex Gwyneth Paltrow talked to Harper’s Bazaar U.K. and said, “There are times when I think it would have been better if we had stayed married.” She noted that while remaining married is always what the kids want, she and Martin post-split “have been able to solidify this friendship, so that we’re really close.” Paltrow added that she’s “proud of [herself and Martin] for working through so much stuff together – and not blaming and shaming.”

While Lawrence and Martin’s initial breakup was pegged to his continued closeness to Paltrow, it seems they’ve moved past it. What do you think about Lawrence and Martin publicly sharing dinner again?
