Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon Meet to Discuss Divorce: Get the Inside Details

In the midst of all the drama and rumors surrounding their separation, Mariah Carey
and Nick Cannon
found some time to meet
on Tuesday to discuss how they plan to go about their divorce… And it looks like the “Butterflies” songstress is taking things into her own hands.

After allegedly silencing her estranged husband
, Mariah asked Nick to have a meeting at her Tribeca apartment to tell him exactly how she wants the divorce to go down.

A source close to the couple tells E! News
, “She told him she needed to get out of town, and she was taking the kids with her. Nick was fine with it. The reports about him being concerned about the welfare of the kids aren’t true. If he was worried, the kids wouldn’t be with her, period. He thinks she’s a good mom.”

The source added, “She told him there would be one announcement about the divorce, and it was going to come from her team.  Nick said he was fine with this too. He knows he really upset her by speaking out of turn
last week and has apologized for it.”

Despite trouble in paradise, Mariah seems to be taking things well, enjoying a night out
in New York last night and beaming as photogs snapped pictures.
