Should Donald Trump run for president – and not do “Celebrity Apprentice” – NBC is prepared to replace him.
Today, the network announced next year’s schedule lineup, and its entertainment chairman, Bob Goldblatt, said, “If [Trump] decides to run and is unavailable to do the show, we will bring the show back and someone else will be sitting at the head of the board table.”
Nevertheless, Goldblatt added, “We are still hoping to have Donald back.â€
While NBC would like Trump to stay with the show, Goldblatt acknowledged, “It’s the right and privilege of anyone to run for the highest office of the land. Nothing would make me happier than for someone to reach that.”
Should Trump toss his hair, er, hat into the ring, NBC would look for “another galvanizing presence,†noted Goldblatt, who reiterated, “I’m hopeful we don’t have to go there.â€
So, who’s more “hopeful” Trump doesn’t run for president — NBC or the American public. VOTE in our poll below!
