Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka are engaged to be married, but some outlets have gotten carried away, planning the couple’s wedding before they do.
According to the National Enquirer, Harris is set for a “glitzy, theatrical wedding – on Broadway!”
The tabloid cites a “source” as saying the actor “wants to say his ‘I do’s’ on the stage,” and “want to make the ceremony as glitzy as possible.” The Enquirer even singles out The Beacon Theatre, where Harris hosted the Tony Awards, as “the top venue on his list.”
The couple will supposedly invite “all his showbiz pals,” including Jane Lynch and Ellen DeGeneres.
Um, someone should show the alleged venue and guest lists to Harris… because he doesn’t have them.
“Dear media: Just because David and I will soon be able to marry in NY, doesn’t mean we are actively planning a wedding,” tweets the “How I Met Your Mother” star.
“Cart before horse,” he explains.
Yup, and the alleged “details” provided by the Enquirer kinda smell like what the horse leaves behind.
