“Is Paris Hilton Secretly Engaged?” asks Hollyscoop.
According to the blog, “Rumor has it that [Paris Hilton] and boyfriend Doug Reinhardt are secretly engaged and are planning on making an announcement soon.”
Really?!
The site claims, “Paris sparked rumors that she’s gotten engaged when she accepted an award for her charity works over the weekend and thanked her ‘future sister in law’ in her speech.”Â
And to top it off, Hollyscoop notes, Reinhardt “got help from Paris’ Mom Kathy with the ring!”

We fact-checked — with Kathy Hilton.
Neither Paris’ mom nor Gossip Cop were at the charity event to hear the “sister-in-law” comment, but Hilton told us talk of an engagement was “news to me,” and that her daughter “hasn’t mentioned it to me.”Â
Meaning: Paris is not engaged.
As for the claim that she gave Reinhardt help with the ring, Hilton says that’s not true either.
Maybe they should call the site, Holly oops!
