Comedian and producer Harris Wittels died on Thursday in what could be a drug overdose.
The 30-year-old’s body was located by his assistant at around noon, and while there were no signs of trauma, drug paraphernalia was reportedly by his side.
Harris was most famous for executive producing Parks and Recreation and for serving as a frequent guest on Comedy Bang Bang.
In addition to working behind the scenes on the Amy Poehler comedy, Harris was also known for playing one of the two perpetually-high animal control officers starting way back in season 2. In fact, his final episode of the show aired just last week.
Harris had a history of drug addiction, having gone to rehab twice, and we are saddened to say it looks like he lost his battle.
