Peter Dinklage opened his “SNL” monologue by joking about “Game Of Thrones.” He even had its author George R.R. Martin in the audience. See the video below of Dinklage’s “Saturday Night Live” monologue.
Dinklage began by saying he had George R.R. Martin (payed by Bobby Moynihan) write him monologue, including the joke, “How many Lannisters does it take to screw in a light bulb?” The answer was none because “Lannisters only score in their parents’s bed.” Next, they joke about the show’s nudity and asked Mate McKinnon to take off her top. And Leslie Jones came out dressed like a dragon.
This is the first time Dinklage has hosted “Saturday Night Live.” It’s not the first time, however, he’s been on the sketch comedy series. Back in April 2013, during a “Weekend Update” segment with the recurring character Drunk Uncle, the intoxicated commentator, played by Bobby Moynihan, went from discussing paying taxes to the show “Game Of Thrones.” He then slurringly noted he watches it every week with his brother-in-law Peter Drunklage.
That’s when Dinklage, dressed like Moynihan’s Drunk Uncle, entered with a glass of scotch in hand, and similarly drunkenly spewed offensive lines like, “I wish the IRS stood for Immigration Return Services.” And though the premise was that Drunk Uncle watched “Game Of Thrones” with Peter Drunklage, the two actually never discussed the hit HBO series for which Dinklage has won two Emmys for for his role of Tyrion Lannister.
Dinklage is hosting in advance of his role in the upcoming Melissa McCarthy film The Boss. Check out the video below of Peter Dinklage’s “SNL” monologue. Gossip Cop will post shortly.
