A new story claiming Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “following in Will and Kate’s footsteps” by “living together before marriage” is entirely made-up. Gossip Cop can correct this fabrication, which was posted by one particularly unreliable website. We’re assured no one close to the couple is talking to the outlet about their relationship.
According to the repeatedly discredited HollywoodLife, which is known for its penchant to peddle fake news stories about the couple, Prince Harry and the “Suits” actress “are finally moving in together after over a year of dating.” In the seemingly manufactured tale, a so-called “palace insider” is quoted as saying, “Prince William and Kate Middleton lived together before marrying, so it’s no shocker that Harry and Meghan plan to do the same. It’s such common practice these days for couples to cohabit before taking the next step, and the Queen has no objections.”
The site’s most assuredly fake “royal source” goes on to purport, “Harry and Meghan have the Queen’s blessing, she totally approves of Meghan and just wants to see her grandson settled and happy. If that means him living with Meghan before walking down the aisle, then so be it.”
While HollywoodLife’s assertion is certainly plausible, with it being highly likely that the couple will move in together in the near future, a genuine and reputable “palace insider” hasn’t fed this kind of information to the repeatedly discredited gossip website. Additionally, a “royal source” wouldn’t refer to Prince Harry as just “Harry.” But more importantly, they wouldn’t refer to Catherine or the Duchess of Cambridge as “Kate Middleton,” which Gossip Cop uses only as a matter of convenience. Still, we checked in with a source close to Markle, who tells us the report is “made-up.”
Of course, we’re not remotely surprised by the outlet’s latest concoction. Remember, Gossip Cop called out the aptly nicknamed HollywoodLies for flip-flopping on the status of Prince Harry and Markle’s relationship, having previously claimed in a made-up story that the couple were engaged. Once again, the bad blog is just pretending to have reputable royal sources, when it provably doesn’t. In fact, it seems their “palace insider” is sometimes also known as May Dupp.
