Prince William and Kate Middleton spent their first Christmas as an engaged couple apart.
The couple, set to tie the knot next April, were nearly 300 miles away from each other on Christmas Day because the future king volunteered to be with his helicopter search-and-rescue team in North Wales, while his fiancee was with her folks in Berkshire, England.
But the time apart is now over since Prince William is currently off-duty until after New Year’s, and is expected to ring in 2011 with his bride-to-be.
