Does Ryan Seacrest dunk his face into ice water before going on camera as part of a beauty regimen? That’s the claim from one of this week’s tabloids. Gossip Cop can correct this fabrication. We’re told it’s “made-up.”
According to the National Enquirer, the “Live” co-host keeps his face “wrinkle free” by splashing himself with cold water before going in front of the camera. In bizarrely unnatural language, a so-called “secret Seacrest source” is quoted as saying, “Our host with the most is well known for taking ice baths, but he long ago learned that even barring the baths, the most important pretty-boy technique is religiously dunking his kisser in freezing cold water just before going on camera!”
But Gossip Cop investigated into the seemingly bogus report, and not surprisingly, a source close to the star assures us the story is “made-up.” Seacrest, who most assuredly has his hair and make-up done before appearing on any show, does not dunk his “kisser” into freezing, ice-cold water before going on camera. The premise is simply illogical, and entirely untrue. Additionally, while Kelly Ripa, Seacrest’s “Live” co-host, once admitted to getting botox on an episode of “Watch What Happens Live,” it doesn’t give the Enquirer free reign to concoct an article about Seacrest’s beauty routine.
Of course, the supermarket tabloid is hardly a reliable source for genuine news about the talk show host. Remember, Gossip Cop corrected the often disproven magazine in July when it wrongly alleged Seacrest had “walked out” on “Live With Kelly And Ryan” and was planning to quit the talk show. And more recently, we debunked the Enquirer for falsely claiming that Seacrest was “obsessed” with beating Megyn Kelly’s “Today” show ratings. Much like those bogus tales, this latest one is equally unfounded.
