Victoria Justice insists drama with Ariana Grande is “non-existent,” even though fans think otherwise. Justice spoke out on Friday after an old video of herself and Grande went viral. Watch it below.

Justice’s big break came in 2010 when she scored her own Nickelodeon show called “Victorious.” As the series’ lead, she played Victoria, an aspiring singer who starts attending a performing arts high school. It’s there that she becomes friends with, among others, Ariana Grande’s Cat. Grande’s role led to a spinoff, called “Sam & Cat” with Jennette McCurdy.

Both shows were very successful for the network, launching Justice and Grande on their way to mainstream fame. But rumors have persisted for years that the two did not get along. Speculation about a supposed rivalry between them reheated this week after a clip of an old interview circulated on social media. The footage shows fellow “Victorious” cast member Liz Gillies praising Grande’s singing. As she gushed about Grande’s voice, Justice interrupted, saying, “I think we all sing.”

Grande’s fans have not only taken this as proof of Justice’s alleged jealousy, but are also using it to make memes. They all essentially have the same premise: Grande is credited for doing something, and Justice says “we all” do it, too. Now the continued feuding between the stars’ respective fandoms over the last few days has come to Justice’s attention.

She tweeted on Friday evening, “I think we ALL have better things 2 do than dredging up 7 yr old non-existent drama. That said, Im kind of excited to finally be a meme.” Justice included a laughing emoji, in addition to a close-up but distorted photo of her face from the video. For her part, Grande has not commented.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, while in 2013 Grande admitted she was “so unhappy” on “Victorious” due to an unnamed colleague, Justice insisted in 2015 that there was no feud between them. But she did say, “We’re not best friends, but at the end of the day I wish her well, and she’s doing great and I’m happy for her.” The former co-stars are pictured above in 2014.
