Vince Vaughn World Series

Vince Vaughn led Chicago Cubs fans in a spirited rendition of “Take Me Out To The Ball Game” during Game Four of the World Series on Saturday. Watch the video below!

At Wrigley Field, it’s long been tradition to sing “Take Me Out To The Ball Game” during the 7th inning stretch. The group sing-along dates back to the days of announcer Harry Caray, who used to lead the stadium in song. Now every game features a special guest, usually someone famous, leading the performance from the announcer’s booth.

Vaughn has had the honor of doing it a few times in the past, and earlier Saturday, it was revealed the actor would get to return to the press box during tonight’s World Series game against the Cleveland Indians. While the Cubs are down 2-1 in the series, this is the team’s first time playing in the championship since 1945, making this likely a once-in-a-lifetime experience for Vaughn.

The movie star grew up in the Chicago area, and even got married in nearby Lake Forest. Vaughn has owned a number of real estate properties in the city over the years, and memorably took part in the Polar Plunge at Lake Michigan last year while wearing a Chicago Blackhawks jersey. At Wrigley, he now follows fellow Chicagoan Bill Murray, who sang “Take Me Out To The Ball Game” at Friday’s Game Three. How does Vaughn compare? Check out the video below!
