Sheeran, who’s featured on Allen’s song, shows off his rapping skills. “I’m not a rapper, just a singer with a game plan,” the British musician spits out on the track. “I play guitar, no need to worry about my Drake hand.”
Allen and Sheeran’s musical collaboration evolved from their real-life friendship. Allen discussed last month in Newsday working with his buddy, saying, “We weren’t trying to make a hit song. We were just having fun.” He explained, “The best music comes from just playing around. It wasn’t forced.”
From the looks of their video, they had a blast working together. The footage shows Sheeran and Allen dressing as superheroes, smashing fruit with baseball bats, launching rockets, running on treadmills and busting more than a few dance moves. “All About It” is on Allen’s debut album “People Keep Talking,” which was released on October 14.
