William Hung and Brian Dunkleman, two of the most infamous former “American Idol” participants, will be making appearances on Thursday’s series finale.

Hung auditioned during Season 3 with a hilariously awful rendition of Ricky Martin’s “She Bangs.” But despite not being put through into the next round, the singer went on to amass a cult following, make several major TV appearances, and even score a record deal. Hung retired from music in 2011 to become a technical crime analyst for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Meanwhile, Dunkleman co-hosted the first season of “American Idol” alongside Ryan Seacrest, but declined to return for another season to instead pursue an acting and comedy career. Dunkleman has since admitted that leaving the show was a huge mistake.

As Gossip Cop has reported, the three-night grand finale of “American Idol” kicked off on Monday with a 90-Minute retrospective looking back at some of the best moments in the show’s history. Tuesday night’s installment will be taped live and feature the current season’s finalists’ final performances. Meanwhile, tons of former stars from past seasons, including Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson, will return to perform on Thursday’s last-ever episode of the iconic singing competition show.
