Michael Bolton, the second contestant to be bounced from “Dancing with the Stars,” was forced to hang up his shoes after a poorly received “Hound Dog” routine with partner Chelsie Hightower.
But the bigger story is how judge Bruno Tonioli critiqued Bolton’s performance.
Tonioli called Bolton’s dance “the worst jive in 11 seasons” of the show, an assessment fellow judge Len Goodman took issue with and called “inappropriate.”

Bolton is demanding an apology for the harsh criticism, saying that he’s “disappointed” in Toniolo.
“I think he should apologize publicly and be reprimanded for it,” the singer told “Good Morning America.”
The show’s producers, however, said in a statement: “While we respect the feelings of our celebrities and dancers, we don’t feel Bruno should be expected to apologize for doing his job,” which is “to give his honest opinions on the quality of the dances he’s judging.”
