“Michael Douglas: Back on Booze,” reads the headline of a piece in the National Enquirer, which goes on to claim, “Douglas is drinking again – and experts fear it could trigger his former booze addiction and derail his battle against Stage 4 throat cancer!”

According to the supermarket tab, Douglas “was recently spotted ordering wine at a swanky seafood restaurant.”

Not surprisingly, the Enquirer doesn’t say WHEN, WHERE or at WHICH restaurant this allegedly took place.

(Hint: That’s because it NEVER happened.)

Instead, after making its groundless boozing accusation, the rag simply has doctor after doctor discuss how detrimental it can be for a cancer patient to drink. Of course, none of the doctors quoted treat Douglas or have any knowledge of him drinking.

The Enquirer seemingly manufactured the story, based on a comment Douglas himself made when he told David Letterman early on in his treatment in August that his throat cancer is “caused by alcohol and drinking.” (Note: the Enquirer actually misquoted Douglas as saying “alcohol drinking” in its fabricated story.)

Of course, this is the same publication that previously ran several inaccurate Douglas articles, including a cover story nearly six months ago that read, “Michael Douglas: 3 Months to Live.”

A rep for Douglas further confirms to Gossip Cop that the drinking story is “not true.”

Perhaps the ones drinking are the reporters at the Enquirer who can’t pinpoint when or even which continent where this “back of booze” episode supposedly took place.

Shameful.

Celebrity dad Matthew McConaughey reveals that he may not be the type of laid-back, easy-going parent we’ve all envisioned. He shares that he’s very strict with son Levi and daughter Vida, but still a lot of fun, as well.

“Discipline is very cool. We run a tight and fun ship. I’m very playful but parents have the advantage of being around for so much longer. If we’re going to sit there and teach our kids that life has consequences, they’re going to turn 18 and go out in their own world.

They’re going to find it the hard way. You do it early so they understand how the world works and what is expected of them, not only as a citizen, but as their family name, as a McConaughey, things like that.”

Matthew shares that he’s more vigilant about it after watching other people practice bad parenting:

“I’ve known too many kids – and some of them have been my friends – that did not turn out to be worth a c**p because the parents let them do whatever they wanted to do. They’ve turned to be junk.”

Matthew shares that his life has more meaning now that he’s a dad:

“I’ve got more to live for now, that’s for sure! Obviously, you stop living as much for ‘me’ and living for ‘we’. Everything I’m doing, my kids are doing with me … every move I make has to do with them.”

I’m going to file this story under “attempt at higher television ratings”. Rumor has it that Michael Lohan, who is currently taping the new season of “Celebrity Rehab“, is suddenly wanting to get back together with ex-wife Dina!

Michael has reportedly been telling people that he wants to reunite with the mother of his children because he feels their divorce in 2007 is to blame for the Lindsay’s problems!

A source tells RadarOnline:

“Michael has been revealing that he wants to get back together with Dina. It’s a shocking revelation, to say the least. Michael feels that Lindsay’s troubles are because of his divorce with Dina. Michael wants his family back. Michael is realistic that too much may have happened and that it will probably never transpire, but he says he loves Dina, even after all of the bad blood that’s been spilt.”

He’s even hoping his family will come to a ‘graduation day’ planned this Sunday to mark the end of his time on the VH1 show, but it is unlikely Dina and the kids will show up.

“Michael would love it if Dina, Lindsay, Michael Jr., Cody and Ali all came. He is doubtful that will happen though because they refused to participate in ‘Family Day’, which was last weekend.”

I mean, c’mon now! They absolutely loathe each other. Lindsay’s no longer speaking to him, he and Dina haven’t spoken fondly of each other in years, WHY on earth does he think this will even fly?
