There’s not much of a battle for the top of the box office this weekend as Battle: Los Angeles should easily win first place.

The alien invasion film, starring Aaron Eckhart, is tracking for nearly $40 million.

Coming in second with close to $25 million is last week’s winner, the Johnny Depp-voiced animated lizard film, Rango.

And taking third with an estimated $15 million is the newly released Red Riding Hood, starring Amanda Seyfried and directed by Twilight’s Catherine Hardwicke.

The Adjustment Bureau and the new, animated Disney film Mars Needs Moms are set to come in fourth and fifth places with approximately $11 million and $7.5 million, respectively.

Rounding out the Top Ten are Beastly ($5.3 million), Hall Pass ($5.1 million), Gnomeo & Juliet ($4.5 million,)  Just Go With It ($4.2 million), and The King’s Speech ($3.5 million).

Charlie Sheen wants to talk to his fans and “trolls” en masse so he’s taking his special brand of crazy on the road in April for his tour titled Charlie Sheen LIVE: My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat Is Not an Option.

Sheen announced the tour via Twitter but didn’t offer many sane details about what the show would entail.

According to Sheen:

“Will there be surprises? Will there be guests? Will there be mayhem? Will you ask questions? Will you laugh? Will you scream? Will you know the truth? WILL THERE BE MORE?!?! This IS where you will hear the REAL story from the Warlock. Bring it. I dare you to keep up with me.”

The first show is in Detroit on April 2, followed by an April 3 show in Chicago with more dates possible.

A mint condition copy of the first-ever comic book to feature Spider-Man has fetched $1.1 million at auction. The first appearance of spidey came in 1962′s Amazing Fantasy #15 which was written by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.

According to Stephen Fishler, CEO of auction site www.ComicConnect.com:

“The late 1950s and early 1960s are considered the Silver Age of comic books.” Fishler went on to add, “The sale of this book crushed all previous records. Up until today’s $1.1 million sale, the record sale price of a comic book from this era was $250,000.”

Amazing Fantasy #15 is now the second highest selling comic book of all time, trumped only by Action Comics #1, a 1938 book that debuted Superman to the world. A copy of Action Comic #1 sold for $1.5 million in 2010.

Britney Spears‘ new album Femme Fatale won’t be officially released until March 29, but more and more songs keep leaking online.

Fans can already listen to “Hold It Against Me” (here) and “Till The World Ends” (here), as well as a megamix of five separate songs (here).

Now there is full audio for three additional tracks – “Drop Dead Beautiful,” “Inside Out” and “Gasoline.”

Mel Gibson will reportedly serve court-mandated community service at Mending Kids International – a charity where his estranged wife works.

The troubled actor must complete 16 hours of service before June 9 as part of his sentencing after accepting a plea deal for his infamous domestic clash with Oksana Grigorieva.

According to TMZ, he’s decided to assist MKI, which provides surgical care to needy children.

Estranged wife Robyn Gibson heads the charity’s Malibu branch, and until December she served as the President of the Board of Directors for the organization.

The former couple have been longtime supporters of the group.

David and Victoria Beckham are expecting their first girl, Gossip Cop confirms exclusively!

Soccer great Beckham spilled the beans at a luncheon for the Los Angeles Galaxy on Friday.

He and Victoria announced her pregnancy in January.

The couple already has three children, all boys – Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.

Victoria Beckham recently talked about her baby’s potential gender, saying that her sons were “excited about having a little brother to teach how to play soccer… If it’s a girl, we’d be over the moon as well.”

Jimmy Kimmel, who was evacuated from an island in French Polynesia due to tsunami warnings earlier today, is safe and sound.

“We are back, officially ‘unevacuated,’” tweeted Kimmel. “Thanks for your kind words. It was scary. Best wishes to our friends in Japan and all affected.”

Last night, before things turned serious, the comedian joked about his bad luck, tweeting, “Suddenly, relaxing on an island in the South Pacific isn’t so relaxing anymore. Good thing I brought my aqua stilts.”

Today, however, Kimmel realized the gravity of the situation.

Asked how scared he was by a Twitter follower, the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” host replied, “a good solid 7. on a small island, with no high ground.”

Soon after, he wrote, “we are evacuating the island. dogspeed.”

Jewel was involved in a car accident this morning in Stephenville, Texas.

A volunteer fire truck careened into the passenger side of the singer’s vehicle, pretty much totaling her car.

Fortunately, the singer, who recently announced she’s pregnant, is okay.

A rep tells Gossip Cop, ”Jewel was hit by a fire truck this morning in Texas. The singer was taken to the hospital and current medical tests conducted indicate that she and the baby are doing fine.”

Whew.
