Elizabeth Hurley To Play ‘Wonder Woman’ Villain In NBC Reboot

While I’m not a fan of recycling sub-par television for the purpose of creating a new series, I’m actually excited to learn that David E. Kelley’s reboot of the Wonder Woman franchise on NBC will feature Elizabeth Hurley as the villain to Adrianne Palick’s Wonder Woman.
While exact details have not been revealed, PopCrunch says she has been cast as a “tough-talkin’ villain.
Hurley announced via Twitter on Thursday morning:
“Thrilled to be doing the NBC pilot Wonder Woman. I’ll be playing the evil villain. Can’t wait.â€
Hurley has not appeared in a role since 2004 for the movie Method.
Diane Lane Accepts Role In New Superman Movie

Diane Lane has accepted the role of Clark Kent’s adoptive mother Martha Kent in the upcoming reboot of the Superman franchise. Lane, portraying the role in the Zack Synder director movie replaces Eva Marie Saint who appeared as the same character in the 2006 movie Superman Returns.
The new movie, titled Superman: Man of Steel will play the mother to Henry Cavill, 27, was was cast last month as the man of steel.
According to Synder:
“This was a very important piece of casting for me because Martha Kent is the woman whose values helped shape the man we know as Superman. We are thrilled to have Diane in the role because she can convey the wisdom and the wonder of a woman whose son has powers beyond her imagination.”
Jonathan Kent is rumored as a potential role for Kevin Costner and Viggo Mortensen is up for the role of General Zod.
In any case, it will be December 2012 before the movie will hit theaters and only if the production doesn’t run into any snags.
Prince In Financial Trouble. Could Lose His House

Singer Prince could find himself without a mansion to call his own. The purple clad singer is currently undergoing the consequences of a court battle that began after a concert he canceled in Ireland three years ago.
Prince was suppose to perform at Croke Park in Dublin, but canceled just 13 days before the show was to go live in June 2008. At the time Prince gave no reason for the cancellation and left MCD holding to refund 55,000 fans.
In Feb. 2010 MCD sued prince and they agreed to $2 million in payments from the singer, however Prince has failed to pay that money by the March 2010 deadline, which means MCD can now seize the singers assets including his Minneapolis mansion.
MCD also wants 8% in interest payments to be made by the singer.
Prince has not commented on the seizure of his assets on this time and is currently touring throughout the United States.
David Arquette OK After Car Crash

David Arquette was in a head-on car accident in West Hollywood this afternoon.
The actor’s silver Cadillac reportedly swerved into oncoming traffic after the car immediately in front of him came to an abrupt stop.
A car coming in the opposite direction collided with Arquette’s vehicle.
Arquette lay on the ground until being taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
A rep tells Gossip Cop he’s “ok.”
Gossip Cop has learned that Arquette was on his way to the airport to head to Las Vegas for the opening of a restaurant called Sugar Factory.
Gossip Cop will update when we have more information about Arquette’s status.
