Scarlett Johansson is “caught in the middle” of a nasty war between boyfriend Sean Penn and his ex-wife Robin Wright, reports Star.
According to a so-called “source” for the mag, Wright is “furious” that Penn is “flaunting” his relationship with Johansson around the former couple’s 17-year-old son Hopper.
“Robin would like to see Sean concentrate his efforts on his son’s needs and not on his new girlfriend,” explains the supposed “source,” claiming that Penn has instead “decided to prioritize Scarlett over his family.”
But the story is BOGUS.
A source close to Penn assures Gossip Cop there’s no truth to the tab’s tale, saying there’s “nothing is more important to Sean than his kids.”
In fact, Hooper was just at the Cannes Film Festival with his famous father.
If only Star would “prioritize” fact over manufactured friction.

Kim Kardashian’s engagement ring from brand-new fiancé Kris Humphries is a serious piece of jewelry.
The 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz-designed sparkler (photo below) features a 16.5-carat emerald cut center stone flanked by two 2-carat trapezoids… and cost a whopping $2 million.
Even for an NBA player like Humphries, that’s one expensive rock.
Kardashian describes it as “perfect,” but Gossip Cop was wondering…

Olivia Wilde and Bradley Cooper have been on “two dates together” in less than one week, reports Life & Style, which has pictures of the pair hanging out at the Hangover Part II’s premiere after-party in New York on May 23.
According to an eyewitness for the mag, “Olivia was Bradley’s date. He was always taking her hand or putting his hand on her lower back, it was really sweet.”
The source adds, “He took care of her all night,” and says, “They left together at 12:15.”
And while Wilde and Cooper appear quite cozy in the tab’s photos, a source close to the “House” star tells Gossip Cop there’s “nothing” going on between the stars, and they’re “friends only.”
Wilde was recently also linked to Justin Timberlake.

Oprah ended her 25-year run with one guest for her finale — Oprah.
The last episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” which taped yesterday — and will air today — had Oprah summing up the lessons she’s learned over the past quarter century hosting her eponymous show.
Oprah told the audience, “This isn’t goodbye. This is until we meet again,” before kissing and hugging longtime boyfriend Stedman Graham, and then walking through the halls of her Harpo Studios, where she said her goodbyes to her staff.
Later in the show, Oprah said, “I’ve spoken to nearly 30,000 people on this show and all 30,000 had one thing in common: A need for validation. Everybody wants to be heard.”
She urged viewers to “validate” the people in their lives by listening to them and making them feel that they matter, and gave out her new email address (oprah@oprah.com) so that fans could continue to be heard.
Asked about the secret to her success, Oprah answered, ”My team… and Jesus.”
There was star power in the audience. At the final show were Maria Shriver, Cicely Tyson, gal pal Gayle King, Suze Orman, and Tyler Perry.

Britney Spears‘ father-conservator Jamie has “forbidden” her from having another child, according to In Touch, due to “fears another baby could trigger yet another meltdown.”
The magazine claims Spears “desperately” wants to marry and have a biological child with Jason Trawick, but Jamie blames postpartum depression for her earlier emotional collapse and “doesn’t want her to risk a repeat episode by getting pregnant again.”
A so-called “source” close to the elder Spears says he understands his daughter’s desires but “feels she’s still too unstable to even think of having another baby.”
Britney, meanwhile, is devastated by this alleged ban.
“While she has railed in the past against the legal conservatorship that puts Jamie in charge of both her professional and personal life, it has never hit so close to home as now,” explains the magazine.
This story is the type of nonsense In Touch assumes it can print without consequence.
If Spears indeed does not have a baby in the near future, the tab can crow about how it’s due to this bogus baby ban.
And if she does have a child with Trawick?
Don’t expect In Touch to mention this premise again.
In any case, the notion that Jamie Spears has forbidden his daughter to have another baby is as ridiculous as it sounds.
A rep for Spears tells Gossip Cop the In Touch piece is “completely not true.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are back in the pages of In Touch, for one of their “nastiest” fights yet.
In other words… the magazine had two pages to fill, zero actual reporting, and a deadline.
Let’s see what daydream In Touch printed as “fact” this time!
The couple “came close to coming undone” in Cannes, claims the tabloid, when an argument “erupted over an innocent discussion about the family’s upcoming summer vacation.”
Oh, boy. Here we go.
It’s one of In Touch’s favorite tactics!
Invent a behind-closed-doors “fight” to distract readers from the fact that the couple you’ve declared “done” for 482 consecutive weeks is still happy and together.
Of course, the new “furious blowup” is based on the same old, wrong premises – debates over how to raise the kids, and Jolie being stubborn and overbearing.
Pitt supposedly wants to take the children to Missouri for the summer for what a so-called “friend” calls “good, old-fashioned American fun.”
Jolie, however, is said to be insisting the family instead go to their French chateau, Miraval, since “Missouri is not her idea of a vacation.”
When she refused to compromise by letting Pitt take their two oldest sons for some time in his home state, “he lost it,” according to the “friend.”
“He’s very close to his breaking point,” continues this In Touch source. “Sometimes, Angelina treats him like a nanny – and not the father of her children – and that drives him nuts.”
Know what must drive In Touch “nuts”?
The fact that the magazine just can’t get Pitt and Jolie to unravel.
Week after week, year after year, the couple raises their kids, promotes their movies, travels the world, and stays together.
Meanwhile, there’s nothing holding this latest In Touch story together except the staples in the binding.
A source close to Brangelina tells Gossip Cop there’s zero truth to rumors of a Cannes “blowup.”
