“Marlee Matlin was soooo sure she was going to win The Celebrity Apprentice that she told many folks she was the favorite,” writes Star, which adds the Oscar winner “even had a congratulatory celebration planned with family and friends at her home the very same night she was fired by The Donald, who chose John Rich.”
According to the tabloid, “Marlee stormed out of the studio just seconds after being given the boot, leaving most of her belongings behind — including her handbag and her house keys!”
Really?
Nope.
Not only does an NBC source call the Star story “false,” but Matlin herself tells Gossip Cop it’s “not true at all.”
Of course, the fact that Star is WRONG should come as no surprise.
The inaccurate Matlin piece was written by the exact same Star “reporter” who claimed, “Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver’s headline-making split was caused by his decision to leave politics and return to Hollywood.”
Whoops.

Charlie Sheen is reportedly in negotiations for a new television series.
According to TMZ, a show is being written right now for Sheen for one of the broadcast networks, and it’s slated to debut as early as 2012.
However, a source close to Sheen tells Gossip Cop he’s heard nothing about such a project, and we remain somewhat skeptical.
Despite TMZ claiming it’s in the works, the site admits it doesn’t even know which network this alleged series would air on.
Sheen, you’ll recall, is the thespian who quietly parted ways with “Two and a Half Men” earlier this year.
Gossip Cop has reached out to other Sheen associates and will update with any new information.

Rebecca Black’s official video for “Friday” was temporarily removed from YouTube this afternoon.
Earlier, the Internet was abuzz with the news that Black’s ode to the day before Saturday now required a YouTube rental fee of $2.99.
Then, “Friday” was made “private” and taken down entirely!
But just moments ago, the video reappeared – without a fee!
“Friday” has been viewed more than 165 million times by Americans eager to have some fun, fun, fun, fun, fun.
Gossip Cop is investigating the sudden “Friday” status roller coaster, and whether Black’s camp has pay-for-play plans.

Tori Spelling crashed her car into the wall of her children’s school today while attempting to flee the paparazzi.
The pregnant star, whose kids with in the car during the crash, later tweeted, “Paparazzi chased me w/the kids 2school. I was trying to get away from him and had a pretty big accident. Took down whole wall of school.”
Spelling continued, “He then STILL got out to try to get pics. 10 school moms chased him away. Wht will it take? Someone dying for paparazzi to stop?”
“Going to dr now to check on baby. I think its just shock.”
A rep for Spelling informs Gossip Cop that the star is “fine” but “shaken” from the experience.

“EXCLUSIVE: Kanye West Spotted Hooking Up With An Olsen On His Birthday!” exclaims Perez Hilton in a headline that got picked up everywhere.
“We wouldn’t have seen this coming!” writes the blogger, who reports that at West’s 34th birthday party at the SubMercer lounge in New York, the rapper was spotted “celebrating the event by hooking up with none other than Mary-Kate Olsen!”
For real?
He adds, “Naughty, naughty, you two! Ha!”
While it’s true Mary-Kate Olsen was at the birthday party, she and West did NOT – repeat, did NOT — hook up.
No one at the club could verify Perez’s account, and a rep for Olsen tells Gossip Cop, “There is no truth to the story whatsoever.”
Naughty naughty, Perez, for once again not fact-checking.

Jessica Simpson will mentor aspiring designers on “Fashion Star,” a new NBC reality series hosted by Elle Macpherson.
The news was just announced by the network.
“Fashion Star” will let contestants compete for a multimillion-dollar contract to launch his or her own brand. Simpson’s role will be to lend guidance and expertise, having enjoyed massive success in fashion herself.
Described as a “true spectacle,” the show will feature the weekly challenges typical of competition series – along with music, dancers and a live audience.
No debut date has been set.

Selena Gomez is “feeling much better,” after being hospitalized on-and-off since Thursday, due to nausea and a severe headache.
The singer-actress made her return to Twitter today and noted, “Feeling much better, thank you all for being so understanding.”
Gomez’s illness forced her to cancel a promotional concert for her upcoming film Monte Carlo on Friday, but the star rescheduled the performance for today.
The “Who Says” singer tweeted, “Can’t wait to see you all today at Santa Monica Place for the Monte Carlo kick off.”
Gomez reportedly underwent testing for blood pressure issues at the hospital.
Gossip Cop is happy to hear Gomez is feeling well again!

Denise Richards opens up about her marriage to (and divorce from) Charlie Sheen in a new memoir, and yesterday spoke with reporters about her ex-husband’s departure from “Two and a Half Men.”
“I am sad to see Charlie not on the show. Nobody can replace Charlie,” said Richards. “The show was written for him and he was so brilliant at it.”
She does think, however, that Sheen’s replacement, Ashton Kutcher, is “going to be great.”
As for her troubled ex, Richards’ upcoming book will not be a slam piece.
“I get into the good stuff about my marriage because people have only gotten the rotten stuff,” said the actress at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation’s ‘A Time For Heroes’ Carnival in Los Angeles.
“There was a beautiful love story… I talk about how I felt during that time because I feel like a lot of women can relate to that, going through a divorce and custody and being a single parent and trying to work.”
Richards continues to do her best to shield daughters Sam and Lola from the media circus their father’s life became in recent months.
“I protect my children from that,” she said. “I don’t keep the news on when they are around. In my house, none of those shows are allowed to be on.”
“So far they are OK, but that could change as [they] get older and more aware. But today we are good.”

Selena Gomez finally explained what was wrong with her.
Earlier today, the singer tweeted that she was “feeling much better†after being hospitalized on-and-off since Thursday, due to nausea and a severe headache.
Last Friday, an ill Gomez was forced to cancel a promotional concert for her upcoming film Monte Carlo. Today, she made up that missed performance, singing for more than 500 fans at Santa Monica Place.
“If you guys came on Friday, I’m so sorry that I couldn’t be here,” Gomez told the crowd, adding, “I love you guys very much.”
She then explained what had ailed her: “I was just very malnourished, so I was low on iron and exhausted.”
While Gomez may have been exhausted a few days earlier, she gave a very energized performance of  ”Who Says” and “A Year Without Rain” for her fans.
She even assured the crowd, “I do feel better!”
