Disgraced politician Anthony Weiner’s wife is pregnant.
Huma Abedin is expecting the couple’s first child, and they’ve told close friends and family, according to multiple sources for The New York Times.
Abedin is a longtime aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. She left for Northern Africa today with her boss.
Despite admitting to tweeting photos of himself and engaging in sexual conversations with several women, Congressman Weiner has said he expects his marriage to survive.
“We will weather this,” he said on Monday. “I love [Abedin] very much, and she loves me.”

Life & Style says Brad Pitt has “finally persuaded” Angelina Jolie to get married.
What allegedly changed?
The magazine refers to a recent Pitt quote, in which he said, “The kids ask about marriage. It’s meaning more and more to them. So it’s something we’ve got to look at.”
OK… but how does Life & Style go from that comment to the announcement that “plans are underway for a ceremony at their 35-bedroom French estate by the end of this year”?
We’re not really sure.
Of course, Life & Style is the same magazine that once argued Jolie is jealous of her nannies. Logic isn’t its strong suit.
In any case, talk of what the tabloid calls “the wedding of the century” is just wishful thinking.
An insider tells Gossip Cop that Pitt and Jolie currently have no plans for a wedding, by the end of the year or otherwise.

Jessica Simpson’s father is begging her not to marry Eric Johnson, says In Touch, which further claims Joe Simpson “fears his little girl is rushing into another bad marriage.”
According to the mag, Johnson’s “unemployed status” is “causing some major concern” for the Simpson patriarch, so much so that he’s “pressuring Jess to call off the wedding completely!”
The tab quotes a “source” as saying, “It bothers Joe that Jessica is paying for everything and that Eric doesn’t really have a job.” The source adds, Papa Simpson “thinks Jessica can do much better.”
Meanwhile, the singer/actress is “trapped in the middle,” and “upset” that her dad “no longer approves of Eric.”
That’s funny, because a rep for the “Irresistible” singer tells Gossip Cop that Joe Simpson “loves” Johnson, and the two actually just went on a golf trip to Scotland.
Once again, In Touch is out of touch.

In Touch reports, “Britney Spears is devastated after Kevin Federline breaks the news that he and his girlfriend are having a baby girl.”
Despite being a woman who “has everything” — from two adorable sons and a loving boyfriend to a successful career and a multimillion-dollar home — the mag says it was “like a cruel twist of fate when Britney learned that Kevin’s girlfriend, Victoria Prince, is expecting a bouncing baby girl.”
Why?
According to the tab, Spears has been “yearning” and “desperate” for a daughter.
“When Victoria got pregnant, Britney was jealous to begin with, but the fact that it’s a girl is really killing her,” says an alleged source for the magazine.
It’s that serious?
In Touch claims Spears’ “inner circle” has hatched a plan to help keep her mind off the impending birth of the Federline daughter: “They think she needs to be away when the baby is born,” notes a so-called insider, “so it’s at their recommendation she’s going on tour.”
Wait. Spears, who’s on the road in support of her “Femme Fatale” album, wouldn’t be touring if Federline’s girlfriend was expecting a boy?
A rep for Spears assures Gossip Cop the singer is not “devastated” her ex is having a girl, and that the In Touch story is “not true.”
That’s hardly a surprise since this is the same tabloid that wrongly reported in the past two weeks that Spears can’t go out after concerts and is banned from having another baby.

Jason Mraz and fiancée Tristan Prettyman have broken up.
“My greatest mistake right now is, I’ve been clinging to my art,” the pop star explains to The Daily Beast. “In that, I have victory for my art and a great loss for my heart.”
“At the moment, my beautiful fiancée is no longer my beautiful fiancée.”
The couple had become engaged in December 2010.

Christina Aguilera, who coaches Raquel Castro, Frenchie Davis, Lily Elise and Beverly McClellan on “The Voice,” joined her team onstage last night for a rousing live performance of “Lady Marmalade.”
Aguilera covered that song with Lil Kim, Mya and Pink for the soundtrack of Moulin Rouge, and even won a Grammy in 2002 for her rendition.

“Justin & Mila: IT’S ON!” blares a headline from Life & Style, reviving the tired rumor that Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis are hooking up.
The mag says the Friends With Benefits co-stars’ attempt to laugh off romance rumors by groping each other onstage at the June 5 MTV Movie Awards fooled no one, and the move “only put Justin and Mila’s steamy chemistry front and center.”
According to a so-called tabloid “insider,” Timberlake began “pursuing” Kunis when they shot the rom-com last year, “but she was with Macaulay Culkin then.”
“Since then, they’ve hooked up,” says the source, “but Justin wants more.”
Kunis, however, supposedly doesn’t want to be “Mrs. Justin Timberlake,” explains the mag, “so they’re just keeping their relationship behind closed doors for now.”
Wow, Timberlake and Kunis must be masters of deception in order to successfully hide their romance for almost a whole year.
Or, they’re just simply NOT DATING.
A rep for Timberlake assures Gossip Cop, “Justin is not involved with anyone.”
