Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Reflected Badly in The Mirror

Not to be outdone by The Sun, the folks over at The Mirror have come up with their own entry in the contest for “Most Clueless Interpretation of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s MTV Movie Awards Appearance.”
You’ll recall that while accepting the award for Best Kiss on Sunday night, Pattinson darted from the stage and into the audience, where he kissed Taylor Lautner.
Anyone watching understood that it was a planned, cute moment designed to get a laugh.
Well, we thought anyone watching understood that.
“As 7,000 fans watched in stunned disbelief Robert Pattinson snubbed Kristen Stewart and snogged her mate instead,” cries The Mirror. “Her male mate.”
Wait.
Pattinson “snubbed” her?
The Mirror is taking this seriously?
Wow, does it ever.
Stewart was allegedly so furious and shocked when Pattinson kissed Lautner instead of her, she “tore a strip off the vampire heart-throb” backstage, yelling, “You made me look like a total jerk out there!” Then, when Pattinson supposedly defended himself, The Mirror claims Stewart muttered, “Don’t even bother” while brushing past him.
Um… it was planned.
Pattinson planned to kiss Lautner.
Stewart knew he planned to kiss Lautner.
That’s why MTV’s camera cut to Lautner when Pattinson joked on stage about wanting to kiss someone besides Stewart.
It’s why you Stewart smiles and says, “Go get him!” as Pattinson bounds into the audience.
The whole thing was a play on the whole “will they or won’t they kiss” game the couple enacted in the past while on stage for the exact same award.
What is so difficult to understand here?
“Despite her public humiliation, Kristen and Robert patched up their differences, and were later holding hands and giggling,” observes The Mirror.
Um, the only “humiliation” should be the newspaper’s for printing such nonsense in the first place.

Donald Trump Blasts ‘Psycho’ Anthony Weiner [VIDEO]

Donald Trump just blasted Rep. Anthony Weiner in a video on his YouTube page, calling the New York Congressman a “psycho” who “should never ever be allowed to run for office again.”
Trump says he knows Weiner “very well,” and he “was not surprised at all” when it came out that the Congressman had tweeted inappropriate photos of himself.
“The fact is, Anthony Weiner is a bad guy,” says the mogul and maybe-presidential candidate.

Tiger Woods Will Skip 2011 U.S. Open

Tiger Woods will skip the 2011 U.S. Open golf championship.
The golfer and scandal vet made the announcement on Twitter.
“Not playing in US Open. Very disappointed. Short-term frustration for long-term gain,” wrote Woods.
He’s been dealing with injuries to his left knee and Achilles tendon.
It will be the first time he hasn’t played the Open since 1994.
Woods is known for his 14 major golf championships and fondness for sex.

Gabrielle Union: I Tried to Shoot Rapist

Gabrielle Union has reacted to Rihanna’s controversial “Man Down” video – in which the singer’s character kills her rapist – by sharing some sobering personal history.
She tried to shoot the man who raped her as a teenager.
The actress went into detail about her ordeal on Twitter.
“Durin my rape I tried 2 shoot my rapist, bt I missed. Over the yrs I realized tht killin my rapist wouldve added insult 2 injury,” said Union.
She explained, “The DESIRE 2 kill someone whose abused/raped u is understandable, bt unless its self defense n the moment 2 save ur life, just ADDS 2 ur troubles #mandown”
“I repeat SELF DEFENSE 2 save urself/protect urself, I’m ALL 4. Otherwise victim/survivor takin justice N2 ur own hands w/ violence = MO trouble 4 U!!”
While Union has discussed her rape in the past (and become an active advocate for rape crisis centers), she’d never before revealed the attempt to shoot her attacker.
The man was a “stranger who robbed the store I worked at,” explains Union. “He put his gun dwn durin the rape & asked me 2 [hand] it 2 him.”
As for Rihanna’s intense visual imagery?
“#mandown video did a GREAT job of getting the ENTIRE world TALKING abt RAPE,” says Union. “I hope tht it leads 2 HEALING & PREVENTS RAPE”
