James Arness, who starred as Marshal Matt Dillon for 20 years on “Gunsmoke,” has died.

He was 88.

Arness died of natural causes, reports the Los Angeles Times.

A close friend of John Wayne and older brother to actor Peter Graves, Arness was nominated for three Emmys for the role of Dillon.

“Gunsmoke” outlasted all of its Western competitors, running from 1955 to 1975.

Arness’ two-decade portrayal of the same character was a television record until Kelsey Grammer’s Frasier Crane.

Patti LaBelle is being sued by a West Point cadet after a bloody confrontation with her bodyguards at Houston’s Bush airport on March 11.

In the surveillance video below, Richard King is waiting outside the airport near LaBelle and her two bodyguards. The tape then cuts to the two men beating King, leaving him badly hurt. He’s eventually carried out on a stretcher.

However, what the tape does not show is King allegedly harassing LaBelle’s team, according to Houston police. King supposedly punched LaBelle’s limo driver, forcing the bodyguards to become physical with him.

Shortly after the incident, LaBelle is seen taking photographs with fans just feet away from a pool of King’s blood.

Law enforcement officials claim King was drunk and hit his head after falling, and that his harassment provoked the confrontation.

King’s lawyer claims he did nothing wrong, and that he was attacked for no reason and without warning.

Jessica Simpson and fiancé Eric Johnson were seen leaving their Soho hotel this afternoon in Manhattan.

Jessica is wearing an outfit that reminds me a lot of what Hilary Duff was wearing today. I still don’t get the cut off jean shorts with the jacket look, although I like it better on Jessica then I did on Hilary.

I have noticed lately that Eric always seems a bit dishevelled looking. Is it just me or do you want him to run a brush through his hair?

“Jersey Shore” is closer than you think.

The fourth season of MTV’s mega hit series, currently filming in Italy, is set to premiere on Thursday, August 4, it was announced tonight.

But America gets another taste of Snooki, Sitch, Pauly D and the rest of the gang one week earlier, with a one-hour special giving fans an inside look at the show and its meteoric rise.

Meanwhile, production will begin later this month on Season 5 of the smash sociological spectacle, which is pretty amazing since the show debuted just 18 months ago.

Well it looks like The French Open has attracted quite the celebrity audience. Bradley Cooper has been spotted watching some matches earlier in the week but it looks like he met up with Salma Hayek today.  That’s a whole lotta gorgeous in one picture!

Salma attended the tennis tournament with her husband Francois Henri Pinault and was also seen posing for photographs with tennis legend Martina Navratilova.

Actor Lukas Haas was also seen at the tournament and posed for pictures with Bradley and Francois.
