It still feels like yesterday that we lost one of the most talented actors to have graced the silver screen.

Philip Seymour Hoffman‘s death left us all wondering what would happen to the few but remaining Hunger Games scenes he had to do for his involvement in Mockingjay, parts 1 and 2.

In a recent interview, the director of Catching Fire and the upcoming Mockingjay films, Francis Lawrence, opened up about how they decided to handle the late star’s absence from certain scenes:

“He was scheduled for 50 days or so, and he had shot about 42 or 43 of those days. He had about eight days left, but the meat of his performance was already finished…There were a couple of scenes that were pretty substantial which we ended up giving to other actors to take over, and obviously, although no-one is a replacement for Phil, the story still works.”

Wow, this seems like a sad but an unfortunately necessary measure.

We wish we had the full Plutarch Heavensbee performance and so many more years with PSH.

DEMI Moore was one of the first people to know about Mila Kunis‘ pregnancy.

According to RadarOnline, the actress’ ex-husband, Ashton Kutcher, called Demi to give her the head’s up that his fiance is expecting.

“Demi was one of the first people Ashton called when he found out Mila was expecting his first child,” a source said.

“While that might seem shocking to many given their bitter breakup, it’s just Ashton’s style to inform Demi before the news broke. He was fully aware of how much Mila’s news would affect Demi and wanted to be the one to tell her personally.

“He’s still in denial of how much hurt he’s caused Demi and friends are convinced he’d do anything to salvage a close friendship with Demi despite that.”

Kutcher, 36, and Moore, 51, split up in 2011 after the actor allegedly cheated on his much older wife with a college student. The actor started dating his former That ’70s Show co-star Kunis, 30, in 2012 and in November 2013, his divorce from Moore was final.

“Demi knows how badly Ashton wants to be a father and have a huge family – they tried to conceive a kid together for years with no luck,” said the source.

“Ashton is desperate to have a big family, and it’s something Mila and he have been open about with their friends. They’re both in a place in their careers where they can actually do this and make it work, but Ashton doesn’t want any more drama with Demi and is keeping her in the loop out of what he says is courtesy.”
