Andi Dorfman took her search for love and her 11 remaining suitors across the Atlantic Ocean to Marseille, France in the latest episode of “The Bachelorette.”
For her first 1-on-1 date, Dorfman picked Josh M.
Before meeting the former pro baseball player, she chatted with Chris Harrison at an outdoor cafe, where she confessed to falling for multiple guys.
The district attorney and Josh M. enjoyed a romantic luxury sailboat ride, and their chemistry was undeniable.
Dorfman admitted that she was concerned that her attraction to the athlete was purely physical, like her previous relationship with former “Bachelor” Juan Pablo Galavis.
Back at the house, JJ told Marquel that Andrew allegedly referred to him as “blackie.” Marquel got emotional as he decided whether or not he would confront Andrew for his hurtful racist comment.
For the second half of her date with Josh M., Dorfman voiced her fears about falling for the former ballplayer.
Josh M. explained that one of his relationships ended because her friends constantly insinuated that he was cheating on her because he was an athlete. He said his ex actually ended up cheating on him out of fear, which is why he now has trust issues and trouble opening up.
The two kissed, and Dorfman gave him a rose before she surprised him with a private Ben Fields concert.
On her group date, the “Bachelorette” took her guys to learn the art of mime. The contestants donned striped shirts, suspenders, and black hats when they took their routine to the streets of Marseille.
Although the crowd was less than enthusiastic about their performance, JJ pulled out all the stops when he reenacted his first date with Dorfman.
While most of the guys made the best of the date, Nick V. looked noticeably miserable, which bothered Dorfman.
Later, JJ stole some alone time with Dorfman by taking her on a Ferris wheel ride. While they enjoyed the scenic views, Cody called out Nick V. for being arrogant and thinking he was the “front-runner.” Cody then got in Nick V.’s face because he had previously mocked him for being thankful for his experience with Dorfman.
Dorfman pulled Chris aside to figure out what was going on, and was surprised to learn that some of the guys also had a problem with Nick. V.
When she confronted Nick V., he took responsibility for making fun of Cody. Despite her reservations about being “oblivious” to who Nick really is, he won her over with a sweet poem, and they kissed.
Dorfman also had a make-out session with Marcus after he confessed he was falling in love with her.
Marquel finally confronted Andrew about his racial slur, which he adamantly denied, saying the accusation was “complete bullsh*t.”
Marquel remained calm the entire time and accepted what Andrew said. Whether or not he actually said it, Marquel said he wasn’t going to lose sleep over it.
Andrew then went directly to Dorfman with Marquel’s confrontation, although he never stated what he was exactly accused of saying.
Despite all the drama, Dorfman gave JJ a rose at the end of the night, which upset Nick V., who was looking for reassurance.
Brian joined Dorfman on her next 1-on-1 date, and they enjoyed a private screening of Disney’s The Hundred Foot Journey.
The movie inspired Dorfman to make a romantic dinner. While shopping for food, they sampled sea urchin and picked up frog legs for a French-inspired meal.
Everything was perfect, except for the fact that Brian can’t cook, and he was clearly uncomfortable. Dorfman was disappointed by how distant and timid he was.
Dorfman wished the old Brian, who once kissed her on a basketball court, would come back, as she questioned their future together.
If things couldn’t get any worse, the food tasted awful, and they decided to go out to eat.
Brian explained why he was being so shy, and she encouraged him to kiss her whenever he felt like it.
He took what she said seriously. After she gave him a rose, they spent the rest of the night in a lip lock.
Dorfman sat down with Harrison before the rose ceremony and shocked the host by asking him to cancel the cocktail party. She said she was going with her gut extinct and she wanted to send three guys home.
At the end of the night, Dorfman eliminated Marquel, Andrew, and Patrick.
Andrew took off with the feeling that he was bullied. Patrick was dumfounded that he was sent home, and Marquel left stoically before crying about how the experience reminded him of how much wants to find love.
