Rebel Wilson is urging America to follow Australia’s strict gun laws following the Thursday shooting at a Lafayette, Louisiana movie theater, which left two people dead and nine others injured. On Friday, the actress tweeted her condolences to the victims of the shooting and stated that America needs to reform its gun laws.

“I don’t like getting political but America you really have to follow Australia’s example re gun laws,” tweeted Wilson. She noted, “I don’t remember a mass shooting in Australia since they overhauled the gun laws. It seems like every week in America there’s a shooting.” Wilson added in another tweet, “I just want people to be safe, especially people that are doing one of my favorite things in the WORLD – going out to the movies 2 have fun.”

As Gossip Cop noted, Lafayette police said 59-year-old John Russell Houser walked into a screening of the Amy Schumer movie Trainwreck at the Grand Theater, and fired 13 rounds into the audience using a 40-caliber handgun.

In 1996, there was a massive shooting in Australia, which left 35 people dead. Following that terrible tragedy, Australia enacted gun laws that banned semi-automatic rifles and shotguns. Since Australia enacted the gun laws, the country has not experienced a massive shooting. What do you think of Wilson’s gun law tweets?

Last night’s shooting in a movie theater in Lafayette, Louisiana, left three dead, including the gunman and injured seven people.

Shortly after the horrific event, Louisiana State Police withheld details of the crime until they gathered more information.

Now they have released the identities of not only the shooter but the two victims as well. The 58-year-old white male, who stood up 20 minutes into a screening of Trainwreck opened fire with his handgun has been identified as John Russel Houser (below).

As for the two victims in the tragic shooting, they were identified as Mayci Breaux (above left) who was 21, and Jillian Johnson (above right) who was 33. They were both sitting right in front of Houser when he opened fire.

Houser is from Phenix City, Alabama, and described as a “drifter” who was “estranged” from his family. Apparently Houser had also been staying at a Motel 6 and after investigation, police found disguises including wigs and glasses in his room — his car also had a license plate that had been switched.

Lafayette Police Chief Jim Craft said that police believe Houser originally planned to make his escape after the shooting as his car was parked near an exit door, but

“The quick law enforcement response forced him back into the theater, at which point he shot himself.”

There’s still no information on motive but we police are still looking into the case.

Our thoughts are will all of those affected by this incredibly terrible act.

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick reunited on Thursday for a family lunch with their son Mason and daughter Penelope. It’s not clear where baby Reign was during the outing.

Kardashian and the children were photographed arriving at the Beverly Hills Hotel separately from Disick. They dined all together before leaving separately. Kardashian then reportedly brought the kids to Disick’s Beverly Hills home.

The meet-up was the first time Kardashian and Disick have been seen together since they broke up earlier this month. As Gossip Cop has reported, Kardashian dumped her longtime boyfriend after he was photographed getting close with Chloe Bartoli in Monaco in the midst of a month-long partying spree. During that time, Disick missed Penelope’s 3rd birthday.

Kardashian officially kicked Disick out of their Calabasas home before he even returned to Los Angeles. He resurfaced in L.A. last week, and stepped out with Mason on Wednesday. As Gossip Cop reported, father and son were seen leaving a Barnes and Noble with toys in hand, before having dinner at a local restaurant.

Disick and Kardashian are not believed to be getting back together, but working out an arrangement where he remains in the kids’ lives. That said, Kardashian is reportedly seeking sole custody. Disick will be traveling to Las Vegas on Friday to host a party at 1Oak. Gossip Cop will continue to have updates.

Most of the time you are lucky enough to read about best dressed celebrities, especially when it comes to red carpet affairs. However, everyone loves to hear about the fashion failures. Instead of just looking at dresses, you should also keep your eyes on the jewelry price.

Celebrities, some of them anyway, seem to have a love of the most hideous jewelry. Here are ten celebrities that, at least once, seem to be attracted to the most ridiculous jewelry possible. You probably won’t care to ask them where they shop for their baubles.

Sean Kingston Likes To Color

Rapper Sean Kingston paid $ 500,000 for a Crayola crayons necklace that has to be one of the most hideous things. It’s got gold and lots of gems, and it got lost on the way to a jeweler. Kingston needs to fire his sister, since reports say she only insured the thing for $ 500.

Kingston is surely not the only guy to wear some crazy jewelry, but he has a lot of competition in the women of the celebrity world. Kingston hopefully learned his lesson and insure his own jewelry, or at least has better taste in it now.

Nicki Minaj Outrageous

Nicki’s look, from hair to shoes, it ridiculous most of the time and she definitely has a love for big, gaudy necklaces and other jewelry pieces. You can find her wearing a texas sized stone of some sort in many photos when you search online. Her jewels tend to stand out as much as her personality.

Nicki likes big and bold, and that kind of style is actually in right now. Bold colors, bold shapes, and, of course, bold sizes. These are called signature styles.

Lady Gaga, Queen Of Awful Jewelry

Lady Gaga loves to go over the top with her outrageous outfits, and her jewelry is no exception. From necklaces that could clothe a small child to rings that cover her entire hand, she likes her jewelry big and bold, like her attitude.

One wonders why she chose a silver neck cuff to wear with her meat dress, instead of a nice fried egg necklace, or maybe the teeth from the animal that meat came from.

Sarah Jessica Parker And The City

Parker went crazy with her outfits for her character on Sex And The City. Normally she looked to be lacking any jewelry at all, and once in a while she’d wear something that was barely there. However, there were a couple times where she went over the top, mostly with too many necklaces on at once. How was she able to still hold her head up?

When you see Parker on the red carpet she tends to wear jewelry that is a little more discreet and doesn’t stand out.

The Material Girl, Madonna

Madonna may not be as flamboyant these days with her fingers full of rings and 10 necklaces on at once, but once upon a time she was the queen of ridiculous jewelry and accessories (remember those fingerless lace gloves?).

Madonna still goes a little gaga when she’s on stage though and you may still see her with some ridiculous jewelry, but she is no longer a virgin to the scene.

More celebrities need to just opt for some nice diamonds that look beautiful but don’t make the jewelry the only thing people see when they look at them. Minimal is great most of the time when it comes to jewelry and accessories, unless you are looking to get the attention of everyone in the room.

However, diamonds aren’t always a girl’s best friend, and even Marilyn Monroe reportedly wasn’t a huge fan of them. Diamonds aren’t the only gems making their homes on women’s jewelry though! And don’t forget the guys.

A day after Nicki Minaj and her legions attacked Taylor Swift over the 2015 VMA nods, Katy Perry has decided to join Team Nicki and add fuel to the fire.

She tweets, “Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman…”

Whoops, there it is! [Nicki even liked the tweet.]

However, in an effort to steer the conversation to another direction, Katy opens up another argument: “The real travesty is where is the shine for #BBHMMVideo when VMA eligibility period was 7/7/14-7/1/15 & that gem dropped 7/1…@MTV.”

We wakes up early in the morning with her head spinning as she confronts the camera and talks about all her fears.

They’re gonna be such good parents!

Kandi Burruss just announced on Wednesday that she and her husband Todd Tucker are expecting a baby!

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star has apparently been telling her castmates about the pregnancy for a while now, but only just went public with the news.

Kandi and Todd have been married for just over a year after their April 2014 wedding, and we bet they’re pumped to get an addition to their family.

But it’s not gonna be their first time raising a kid!

Kandi and Todd actually each have a child from past relationships — two daughters named Riley and Kaela!
