Kendall Jenner is “definitely single,” a source tells Gossip Cop exclusively. Though the model has been seen with Ben Simmons and Anwar Hadid over the last week, we’ve learned she’s not in a relationship with either guy. Rather, Jenner is simply embracing being an unattached 22-year-old.

The gossip media has seemingly been “slut-shaming” the star in recent days. The headlines have not been kind, unjustifiably. Complex, for example, announced on Tuesday, “Kendall Jenner Seen Making Out with Bella Hadid’s 18-Year-Old Brother.” The implication is that Hadid’s age is problematic, even though he’ll be turning 19 later this month and is just a few years apart from Jenner.

Meanwhile, RadarOnline exclaimed in its own headline, “Kendall Caught Making Out With Gigi Hadid’s Brother — Who’s Dating Another Woman!” This is just factually inaccurate. While an onlooker did snap a photo of Jenner and Hadid making out at a CFDA Awards after-party this week, People reports and Gossip Cop confirms that he and actress Nicola Peltz recently went their separate ways. But HollywoodLife also went the sensational route, titling its piece, “Kendall Jenner Making Out With Gigi Hadid’s Bro Anwar — But What About GF Nicola Peltz?”

That wasn’t all. That same site also followed up with a purported “exclusive” that claimed, “Kendall Jenner’s Hook-Up With Anwar Hadid Has Ben Simmons Feeling ‘Used.’” But she and Simmons weren’t in any kind of serious romance. Going out a couple of times doesn’t make someone your boyfriend. Kissing someone doesn’t make you exclusive. As our insider points out, “You can be dating lots of people.”

It’s also likely that if this were a guy, no one would blink. In fact, many males in Hollywood who play the field are deemed “ladies’ men” with no damage to their reputations. And, Gossip Cop should add, contrary to rumors that Jenner came between Simmons and singer Tinashe, we’ve learned he was a “free agent” when he and Jenner started spending time together.

But it seems simply because Jenner has been pictured with a few guys who were recently in relationships with others, she’s raising eyebrows, even though there’s nothing abnormal or inappropriate going on. Sums up our source: “She’s 22 years old and this is what they call dating.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are not expecting twins, despite a new tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can bust the seemingly fabricated report. Not only have pregnancy claims already been debunked, but this allegation is coming from the same magazine that wrongly insisted Kate Middleton was having twins.

We’re talking about Life & Style, which repeatedly insisted last year and all the way up to Middleton giving birth to Prince Louis in April that she was carrying two babies. Gossip Cop busted the outlet again and again, and it became clear our reporting was correct when Middleton and Prince William welcomed a son, not twin girls, as had been falsely alleged. Readers should keep our credibility in mind, and the publication’s lack of it, as we examine these new claims about Markle and Prince Harry expecting twins.

According to the article, the couple “started trying for a family way before” the royal wedding last month. It’s specifically alleged that “some friends believe she walked down the aisle pregnant, and now they’re buzzing the royal couple will soon become a family of four.” A so-called “insider” is quoted as saying, “Those close to Meghan are convinced she’s expecting twins.” Note that the tabloid doesn’t actually have any confirmation or first-hand knowledge. Instead it is relying solely on what “friends believe” and are “convinced” of. It’s also telling that the front of the issue announces, “It’s a boy — and a girl,” while in the actual story, the questionable “insider” merely asserts, “They’d love a boy and a girl.”

In a similar bait-and-switch tactic, it’s declared on the cover that Markle “found out” about the pregnancy “2 days before the wedding.” But in the article, the supposed source only theorizes in regards to the bride’s gown, “Since the dress was loose around her belly, people were speculating that she found out she was pregnant a couple of days before the wedding and was hiding a bump.” No legitimate media outlet, however, jumped to the same conclusion, or suggested Markle had a “bump” when she and Prince Harry stepped out just days later to celebrate Prince Charles’ birthday. The magazine also contends, without proof, that Markle avoided alcohol at her nuptials, and that a honeymoon to Africa has been “canceled” due to the health risks pregnant women face in the region.

The publication then tries to substantiate its “twins” premise by pointing out that, if IVF was involved in conception, there is a higher risk of multiples, and that even without fertility treatments, there is a higher risk for twins when the woman is over the age of 35. But neither of those commonly known facts about pregnancy are actually proof that Markle is expecting, let alone carrying two babies. And in yet another instance of tabloid trickery, after quoting Prince Harry on the cover as saying, “We’re naming the girl Diana,” the “insider” cited in the article instead alleges, “Harry’s also told pals they may name a daughter Diana as a tribute to his late mother.” That’s the third instance of the claims on the issue’s cover notably not matching what it’s in the actual story.

It’s also significant that the magazine declares “the twins will have plenty of playmates,” and notes that Prince George and Princess Charlotte have “embraced little brother Louis.” Nowhere does the outlet acknowledge that it previously claimed the royal heirs were expecting identical twin sisters. And while the publication is now trotting out its tired, old twins storyline for another couple, it is also copying the National Enquirer, which was the first to allege (albeit wrongly) last week that Markle is pregnant with twins.

Furthermore, as opposed to already expecting a baby or babies, Us Weekly has reported that while Markle and Prince Harry want kids right away, they “won’t rush into anything” and “have a lot on their plate right now.” It’s even said they haven’t started “trying” yet to conceive. Additionally, when Gossip Cop checked in with Kensington Palace, the royal staffer with whom we spoke actually laughed aloud over Life & Style going from alleging Middleton was pregnant with twins to now Markle in just a few months’ time.

To recap, this tabloid has a history of falsely claiming twins are on the way for the royal family. There are discrepancies between the claims on the cover and those in the article. And the story contains no proof whatsoever to substantiate its contentions. On the other hand, a more reputable publication has reported Markle and Prince Harry haven’t even “tried” to have a baby yet, and Kensington Palace laughed off this pregnancy story when contacted by Gossip Cop. From all this, it’s abundantly clear the report shouldn’t be trusted.

While Selena Gomez has had a few notable romances, she’s also been wrongly linked to a number of stars over the years. And some of the rumors, although inaccurate, popped up repeatedly. Below, Gossip Cop takes a look at five examples.

In both 2013 and 2014, it was alleged Gomez was dating Austin Mahone. The original claims were sparked after the pair were seen together at Disney. But Mahone himself denied he and Gomez were dating. The following year, Us Weekly tried to revive the nonexistent love connection. At the time, Gossip Cop was assured there was nothing going on between them. Sure enough, they never became a couple.

Also in 2014, the rumor mill started putting Gomez and Orlando Bloom together. Even though Bloom explained to TMZ that they were only hanging out for WE Day, a charity endeavor with which they became involved through their mutual manager, the tabloids maintained, without evidence, that they were secretly hooking up. Those claims resurfaced in 2016 after the singer and actor were spotted talking closely at a club. At the time, Bloom was dating Katy Perry, leading to accusations of cheating. But Perry took to Twitter to slam the “dumb” conspiracy theories, and Gomez retweeted the post. And though Perry and Bloom split in 2017, they’ve since gotten back together.

Meanwhile, an innocently shared meal with ex Nick Jonas led Celeb Dirty Laundry to contend in 2015 that he and Gomez were dating again. A few weeks prior, he split from Olivia Culpo, a fact the blog used to suggest Jonas was rekindling a flame with Gomez, or at least having a “business dinner” with her for a music collaboration. As Gossip Cop rightly reported then, neither theory was accurate, as the former couple, who dated during their Disney days, were not getting back together nor planning a duet. It was simply a friendly “catch up” session, as Jonas himself later put it when asked about the dating rumors. In fact, they weren’t even alone, but joined by other mutual pals.

2015 and 2017 further brought claims about the singer-actress and Niall Horan, which prompted Gomez to say she was not dating the One Direction member. But when Horan admitted two years later that she was one of his earliest crushes, the gossip media started stirring again. In fact, Gossip Cop even pointed out that HollywoodLife, which she’s called “the worst” and “never true,” couldn’t even keep track of its fake news stories about Gomez and Horan. Suffice it to say, at no point were the longtime friends ever actually dating.

Most recently, the tabloids have been fixating on Gomez and Justin Theroux being “more than friends,” as claimed in a Life & Style cover story last month. The magazine stopped short of actually alleging they were dating, but then websites like Celebrity Insider wrongly made that leap. Of course, the lone piece of evidence wasn’t actually proof of a romantic relationship at all: Gomez and Theroux hung out in May when their shared manager (who also manages Bloom, as noted above) organized a group trip to an off-Broadway show, as documented on Instagram. It was not the sign of a new pairing, but simply a manager getting a bunch of clients together. And notably, in the wake of Gossip Cop debunking the dating rumors, Gomez and Theroux haven’t been seen together since.

It should also be noted that after Gomez’s recent split from on-and-off boyfriend Justin Bieber, “Entertainment Tonight” has reported that she currently isn’t interested in a “serious” relationship. E! Online has also noted that Gomez is moving on from Bieber and is “learning to appreciate the single life.” While that likely won’t stop the gossip media from trying to hook her up with various stars, Gossip Cop will be here to separate fact from fiction as necessary.

Kanye West was not “touchy feely” with Candace Owens at his listening party, despite a claim. A new report asserts the rapper and the conservative activist were openly “flirting,” but there’s no evidence to support such allegations. Gossip Cop can bust the untrue story.

Last week, West held a listening party for his new album in Wyoming. Wife Kim Kardashian was in attendance, as were stars like Chris Rock. Now days later, RadarOnline is alleging that West’s “attention was on a different woman” than Kardashian, namely Owens. “While everyone was listening, he was flirting,” declares the site. The blog claims West “has a thing for” for Owens, and a so-called “onlooker” is quoted as saying, “They were touchy feeling and it looked like they’re more than friends.”

This supposed witness contends West “complemented her on her beauty and brains” and showed “crazy chemistry” through “flirting, laughing and smiling in each other’s face.” Kardashian is described as “oblivious” to her husband’s “swooning,” with the purported tipster alleging, “When ‘Ye wasn’t with her, he was with Candace. If Kim knew what’s best, she’d keep Kanye away from Candace.” It should be noted that real people generally do not switch from a person’s nickname (‘Ye) to their given name (Kanye) in back-to-back sentences like that.

It’s also telling that the blog ends it piece by repeating its claim from a month ago that Kardashian is “considering” divorce to “save herself and her children” from the Grammy winner’s questionable behavior. A rep for the reality star disputed that report at the time, and West even raps on his new song “Wouldn’t Leave” about Kardashian’s loyalty and refusal to ditch him, despite his recent controversies. As for these contentions about Owens, there is no proof to back them up.

None of the photos from West’s listening party that have surfaced show him “touchy feely” with her. In fact, they don’t even appear to be touching in the lone photo Owens posted on her Instagram page. Media outlets in attendance such as Pitchfork did a whole “What We Saw” article on the event and made no mention of him “flirting” with Owens. And W magazine, in its own “Inside The Ye Listening Party” story, merely noted that Owens was among the recognizable faces in attendance, and said West was “out in the field walking amongst the crowd… And that’s what he did for a majority of the night: just walked.”

And while West posted on Twitter in April that he “loves the way” Owens “thinks,” there’s no evidence there’s any more to it than that. A rep for West even tells Gossip Cop this “crush” narrative is “ridiculous.” Indeed, a story that can’t be substantiated is pretty ridiculous.

Conclusion: RadarOnline claims West and Owens came off like “more than friends” at his listening party, with “flirting” and “touchy feely” interactions. But there are no photos documenting such behavior, and the publications in attendance did not report anything about the pair interacting at all. Additionally, the site repeats provably wrong information about Kardashian divorcing him. And on top of all that, West’s own spokesperson is on the record scoffing at the notion there’s something inappropriate going on between him and Owens. With no evidence that there is, Gossip Cop has concluded this tale is untrue.

Is Selena Gomez really trying to date Justin Theroux because she’s “idolized” Jennifer Aniston for years? That’s the claim in one of this week’s tabloids, which further alleges Gomez has “gone all Single White Female” on Aniston. But it’s completely untrue.

According to NW, Gomez is “trying to steal” Aniston’s life and estranged husband. The magazine alleges Theroux and Gomez have been “spending more and more time together” since he and Aniston announced their split in mid-February. To push its premise, the tabloid quotes an unnamed “source” as saying out of nowhere, “Part of Selena’s attraction to Justin is knowing how much Jen loved him.” “The fact that the woman she idolized so much prized him only makes Justin all that more appealing,” continues the untraceable tipster.

Employing puns from their respective work, the tabloid maintains “Gomez just can’t keep her hands to herself when it comes to getting her claws into Jen’s, um, leftovers.” The same almost assuredly fabricated “source” continues, “She finds Justin to be a breath of fresh air after going through such turbulent times with Justin [Bieber].” “Selena will always carry a torch for her ex,” adds the supposed insider in unnaturally expository language, “but right now, Justin [Theroux] is helping her take her mind off things.”

The outlet goes on to assert that Aniston would be “horrified” if she knew just “how close” Gomez and Theroux have become. “It’s progressing into something far more significant,” contends the “source.” “She’d think of it as a complete betrayal on both their parts,” concludes the tabloid’s seemingly fictional “insider.”

While it’s true the two actresses have a tight bond and Gomez has publicly expressed on Instagram how she’s followed Aniston’s career since she was 8, there’s nothing Single White Female-like about it. The women are friends, and Gomez has credited Aniston with giving her “maternal advice” when she’s needed it. But Gomez is not trying to “steal” or date her friend’s ex.

The claims that “Selena’s attraction to Justin is knowing how much Jen loved him,” and that he’s “more appealing” because Aniston had once “prized” Theroux is patently absurd. Additionally, Gomez and Theroux’s friendship is not “progressing into something far more significant,” as alleged. While the repeatedly debunked tabloid maintains the two have been “spending more and more time together,” the reality is Gomez and Theroux have been spotted just once since he and Aniston revealed they were splitting up.

In early May, two were part a large group of people — organized by their (and also Aniston’s) mutual manager, Aleen Keshishian — that went to see an off-Broadway play starring another client, Billy Crudup. Keshishian even shared a photo on Instagram of the group, which included Paul Rudd and Rooney Mara, in what appears to have been Crudup’s dressing room. While Theroux has been pictured with a number of different women since then, he has not been seen again with his platonic pal Gomez.

Curiously, the magazine brought up her ex-boyfriend, but doesn’t mention in its article how Gomez is pregnant with Bieber’s baby. The same publication that now contends Gomez is “trying to steal” Theroux claimed just a few months ago that “Selena is pregnant and told Justin [Bieber]” during a trip to Laguna Beach. Much like the current story, the tabloid quoted a so-called Gomez “insider” as saying, “This is something they both want. Selena has always liked the idea of being a young mum” and she and Bieber are “super excited about the prospect of becoming parents.”

That whole story was a fabrication, and so is the latest tall tale. And while NW relies on unnamed, unreliable, and seemingly made-up Gomez sources, Gossip Cop quotes real people, who are in regular contact with her. When pressed about the assertion that Gomez is trying steal Aniston’s life and date Theroux, her rep, who rarely responds to these outrageous reports, told us on the record, “It’s ridiculous.”

Conclusion: Even though the tabloid alleges Gomez has “gone all Single White Female” on Aniston, by the singer’s own acknowledgment, she reveres the former “Friends” star and takes to heart her older pal’s “maternal advice.” Additionally, despite the magazine’s contention that Gomez and Theroux have been spending a lot of time together and their relationship is “progressing into something far more significant,” they’ve actually only been seen together (in a large group) once since “The Leftovers” star and Aniston split. Significantly, the outlet completely avoids how it previously swore up and down that Gomez was pregnant with Bieber’s baby. And while the publication would like everyone to believe it has a reputable and genuine “source,” who it cannot name or even describe, conversely a rep for Gomez went on the record to dispute the phony report. For those reasons, Gossip Cop is rating the article a 0 and calling it fiction.
