“Glee” for Lady Gaga but none for Coldplay and Bryan Adams

(Fox)

The cast and creators of “Glee” were honored last night by the Paley Center in Los Angeles, and they sure were belting out dish about upcoming episodes.

Like what?

Lady Gaga will be featured on the show!

Show creator Ryan Murphy said, “We reached out to Lady Gaga and she said, ‘Yes, I’d love to be a part of it.’ So we will be doing Lady Gaga this season.”

Also, look out for Jane Lynch in a cone bra when she does a rendition of “Vogue” – in black-and-white – for an upcoming episode, which features 10 Madonna songs.

Murphy said when he contacted Madonna and explained that the show wanted to do a tribute to her, “She said ‘yes,’ and she cooperated in every way possible.”

But two acts that reportedly did not cooperate and haven’t (yet) allowed their music to be covered by “Glee” are Coldplay and Bryan Adams, though the latter says he was never contacted by the show.

Speaking of singing shows, “Glee” star Amber Riley, who was booted from “American Idol” early on, was asked what she would now say to Simon Cowell. Riley responded that she would tell the acerbic judge, “Nanny, Nanny, boo boo.”

Exactly.

The Tim Burton and Johnny Depp version of Alice in Wonderland is the #1 movie for the second straight weekend, rolling up $62 million in ticket sales. It’s become the first $200 million release of 2010.

Green Zone with Matt Damon finishes #2 with $14.5 million, and the mismatch romantic comedy She’s Out of My League rounds out the top three with $9.6 million.

The Robert Pattinson drama Remember Me is expected to take in about $8.3 million for fourth place.

Miami divided over “Jersey Shore” rolling into town

There have been reports that Miami is not exactly rolling out a welcome mat for “Snooki,” “JWoww,” “The Situation,” “DJ Pauly D,”and the rest of the nicknamed crew from “Jersey Shore.”

Some outlets have said restaurants and clubs do not want the MTV show filmed on their premises. However, a source involved with the production tells Gossip Cop, “It has been the total opposite,” and MTV has been deluged with “emails from venues trying to get [“Jersey Shore”] to shoot there.”

“Just Announced” Kristen Stewart Role Shocks Site

(HollywoodLife.com)

There’s no better place than HollywoodLife for “breaking” news!

Ask Aaron Eckhart and Molly Sims, whose relationship the site ended only three months after they did it themselves!

Or Ron Livingston and Rosemarie DeWitt, the “hot new couple” the site outed two months after they’d gotten married!

Always ahead of the curve, HollywoodLife sniffs out another stunner today.

“Just Announced! Kristen Stewart’s New Movie!” declares the headline. “Is Robert Pattinson In It?”

Whoa… another movie for Stewart this year? One “just announced”?

There’s already The Yellow Handkerchief, Welcome to the Rileys, The Runaways, and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

What’s been “announced” now?

“The drama Welcome to the Rileys, which premiered at Sundance this year, has been picked up for distribution!” reports HollywoodLife.

Um… we already said Welcome to the Rileys.

“Can you believe K-Stew is playing a prostitute?” HollywoodLife cries.

Um… yes. Yes we can. Because — as the site itself saysWelcome to the Rileys screened at Sundance.

It’s completed. It’s been seen. It’s been reviewed.

“Sadly, there won’t be any R-Patz in this movie,” HollywoodLife confides.

No, but he’s already seen and commented on it.

Because, again… it’s not a “new” film.

All that was “announced” this week was the distributor for Welcome to the Rileys.

That’s it.

It’s only a “shocking new role” for Stewart for outlets several months behind.

Anyway, Gossip Cop is hearing rumors about a possible new movie called Iron Man 2. VERY hush hush. We’ll let you know what we hear!

EARLY ESTIMATES: “Alice” Tops Again; “Remember Me” #3 or #4

(Summit)

The first weekend box office estimates are trickling in, and it appears the Alice in Wonderland bonanza will continue.

Projections place last week’s champ atop the chart again with roughly $60 million in its second week of release, which would push it past the $200 million mark overall.

Remember Me ($9.5 million) is estimated to finish a close fourth behind fellow debuts Green Zone ($15 million) and She’s Out of My League ($10 million).

It will likely battle with the latter for third place until late Sunday.

Friday’s numbers:

$17.4 M –  Alice

$5 M – Green Zone

$3.6 M – Remember Me

$3.3 M – She’s Out of My League

Again, these are VERY EARLY estimates. Gossip Cop will have more details and more accurate projections as the weekend continues.

Britney Spears has sister Jamie Lynn move into her L.A. home without even knowing it

(HollywoodLife.com)

“Is Jamie Lynn Spears Moving In To Big Sis Britney’s LA Pad?” asks HollywoodLife, which often never knows the answers.

Picking up on an old and wrong story from the National Enquirer – that Gossip Cop busted a few days ago – HollywoodLife reports that Britney Spears’ mom, “Lynne Spears is reportedly so unhappy that her youngest daughter is dating 28-year-old businessman James Watson that she’s packing her up and shipping her off to live with big sis Britney in Los Angeles!”

The accuracy-challenged blog simply regurgitates quotes from a so-called National Enquirer “source,” who also claims the move is because “Lynne wants to see her daughter get back into show business.”

And while HollywoodLife pulled a Perez by cutting-and-pasting another media outlet’s story without fact-checking it, Gossip Cop reached out to a friend of the Spears family, who says tales of Jamie Lynn permanently moving into Britney’s L.A. home are just “not true.”

Once again, Gossip Cop is unmoved by HollywoodLife’s (lack of) reporting.

Kid Rock Forced to Pay After Assault Lawsuit

(GettyImages.com)

Kid Rock must pay $35,000 to three men who sued him over an alleged 2006 fight.

The lawsuit was filed after the men claimed Rock and three members of the Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E. hip hop group assaulted them outside the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles.

The alleged attack came after the men asked for autographs.

Today a jury determined that Rock will have to pay a total of $35,000 for the plaintiffs to split.

They originally asked for $15 million.

During the trial Rock insisted that the men’s claim that he’d shouted, “Who wants a piece of me next?” during the incident was not true, since he would never say anything so “corny.”

Summit: No Plans Yet for Second “Eclipse” Trailer

(Summit)

After the trailer for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse debuted yesterday, we got a lot of questions about whether a second, longer version was already planned for release.

Gossip Cop spoke with a rep for Summit Entertainment who told us there will (of course) be a new trailer at some point, but right now there’s “no talk… nothing in the works.”

So it looks like Twilight fans will have to make do for now with the trailer being shown before Remember Me this weekend… and, of course, YouTube, where nearly 5 million people have already watched yesterday’s release.

Gossip Cop will report on future Eclipse clips as soon as we hear.

Stay tuned…
