Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre may be spending his retirement dancing around a different type of stage, specifically that of TV series Dancing With The Stars.
It’s being reported that Favre has joined Jodie Sweetin, Vince Neil and Mischa Barton for season 12 of DWTS.
The announcement, if true, will be made when ABC reveals their newest dancing lineup during the Feb. 28 finale for The Bachelor.
If chosen Favre can be seen strutting his stuff when the new season of Dancing With The Stars starts on March 12.

Lindsay Lohan has a lot going on right now, and the star is speaking out via social media.
One day after being formally charged with felony grand theft in connection with an alleged jewelry heist, the star has posted the following message to her Twitter feed and her Facebook page:
“Was on the phone with my sister&this movie Greenberg is on, i heard my voice which was odd- and ryhs ifans is watching Just My Luck in the movie- made me laugh.. i just want to be on set again, and left alone to just work!”
“fyi- i would never steal, in case people are wondering. I was not raised to lie, cheat, or steal… also, what i wear to court shouldnt be front page news. it’s just absurd. god bless xox L”
It will be interesting to see if Lohan continues to communicate directly with fans as the legal process continues.

“MTO SUPER-DUPER WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Y’ALL AIN’T GONNA BELIEVE WHO RIHANNA‘S DATING NOW!!!!” screams another annoyingly all-capped headline on MediaTakeOut.
The site, which in the past week alone has wrongly reported the singer wanted to reunite with Chris Brown and sexted racy pictures to an anonymous rapper, now “reports” that Rihanna is “dating rock drummer Travis Barker.”
According to “insiders” for MediaFakeOut, Rihanna and the Blink 182 rocker “went on a few dates years ago,” and have recently rekindled their romance.
“Since Rihanna became single, the two HIT IT OFF,” the outlet claims.
Really?
No.
A source close to the “Only Girl” singer calls the story “ridiculous.”
After three inaccurate Rihanna stories in just one week, it might be time for MTO to lay off the star.

Another major media outlet is treating a parody Sarah Palin “interview” about Christina Aguilera as though it is real.
As Gossip Cop reported yesterday, after a satirical site wrote an article in which the former Alaska governor blasts Aguilera’s bungled national anthem performance during a supposed “radio interview” with Sean Hannity, Us Weekly ran the fabricated remarks as authentic.
Among other outlandish comments, “Palin” says in the spoof interview she wants to “deport” Aguilera and declares that “spicy Latin princesses” shouldn’t be permitted to perform the “Star-Spangled Banner.”

Us Weekly eventually yanked its story and today printed a retraction and apology.
But it turns out Us Weekly wasn’t alone.
Time magazine’s website made the same mistake.
In a post about Conan O’Brien making fun of Aguilera, Time casually observes, “And you thought Sarah Palin went overboard by commenting that she wanted to deport the singer?”
Sure enough, Time links to the spoof Palin-Hannity “interview” but fails to get that it’s a joke.
Wow.
Maybe the next time Time makes fun of someone else’s “blunder” in a headline, they should be a little more careful with the facts.

The National Enquirer claims that Eric Johnson has threatened to nix their nuptials if Jessica Simpson doesn’t “lose weight soon.”
According to a “source” for the tab, Johnson told his fiancee that unless she goes on a diet, he is “calling the whole thing off.”
“He is in tip-top shape and feels like Jessica is letting herself go,” says another so-called insider, who notes the pop star is “heartsick over vicious weight-related fights that are jeopardizing their wedding plans.”
So, is Johnson really going to ditch his bride-to-be if she doesn’t drop some pounds?
Sounds pretty absurd…
And it is.
A source close to the singer calls the Enquirer story “complete B.S.”

Kristen Stewart’s post-Breaking Dawn production schedule has been the subject of intense scrutiny, and this week there appears to be a new wrinkle.
The actress is still attached to K-11, a drama directed and co-written by her mother, Jules Mann-Stewart.
Now, IMDb and other outlets claim that K-11 will begin production on June 6.
As Gossip Cop reported, Stewart has also been offered the title role in Snow White and the Huntsman, leading many observers to wonder whether there’d be a potential conflict between the two productions.
There will not be.
Gossip Cop looked into it, and a production source on K-11 told us there’s no official start date as of yet.
Should Stewart and the Snow White filmmakers come to a final agreement on their offer to her, it will in no way interfere with K-11.

Good grief.
Somehow, the National Enquirer manages to out-ridiculous itself this week with yet another desperate bid to convince readers there’s trouble between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
The alleged culprit this time?
Money.
Their “love affair is hanging by a thread,” claims an Enquirer “insider,” noting that squabbles over cash have “led to their most vicious blowup ever!”
Supposedly, Pitt is demanding that the family reduce costs while Jolie sees his push for lifestyle cuts as “selfish and petty,” according to the source.
How bad has it (allegedly) gotten?
Well, even though the Enquirer admits the couple has “an estimated $250 million fortune,” the tab’s source claims Pitt fired the kids’ French tutor and another employee, saying, “I can’t afford you anymore.”
Uh-huh.
So after reportedly accusing Jolie of “wasting their fortune,” Pitt flew from Los Angeles to Paris “in a rage” to check in on their estate, Chateau Miraval, which “he’s threatening to sell” to raise cash for the couple.
Since returning to the United States, of course, Pitt and Jolie “are maintaining an uneasy truce for the sake of the kids,” but another “blowup” could be imminent.
In other words, for the 4,947th time, a tabloid insists that Pitt and Jolie only look happy for appearances’ sake – but that behind closed doors it is, to use the Enquirer’s phrase, “World War III.”
This is just plain silly.
The only battle here is the eternal one waged between the magazine and reality.
As sources assure Gossip Cop (once again), the quarter-billion dollar couple is not going broke, and their relationship is perfectly fine.

Good news for Carrie Underwood!
Her husband, NHL player Mike Fisher, was just traded from the Ottawa Senators to the Nashville Predators – meaning he’ll be based right in the heart of the country music industry, where Underwood makes her own professional home.
The couple married last July.

Kelsey and Camille Grammer are officially divorced.
Camille Grammer filed for divorce last July after her husband confessed to having an affair with 26-year-old Kayte Walsh.
The “Fraiser” star plans to wed Walsh by the end of this month.
The former couple came to a divorce agreement on Monday after a very public, very ugly process, but the judge only signed off on it today.
Financial and property division will be worked out at a later date.
Kelsey and Camille Grammer have two children together.
