Robert Pattinson’s “drinking problem has his friends and family fearing he’s going off the deep end,” declares the National Enquirer.
Before we continue, it’s worth noting the same Enquirer once insisted (ridiculously) that Pattinson’s agent Stephanie Ritz came between him and Kristen Stewart.
So that’s the tab’s level of expertise when it comes to Pattinson.
In any case, the Enquirer now takes recent comments in which Pattinson talks about drinking in his hotel room when he’s lonely… and makes it seem as though he’s an alcoholic boozing himself to death.
“Rob’s drinking has been a concern for a while now,” a so-called “close source” tells the magazine, later adding, “He’s clearly having issues with stardom and we want him to get help before he turns into a Hollywood casualty.”
A Hollywood casualty?
“It seems like Rob’s been turning to the bottle more often. He’s been living the wild life in L.A. – and needs to get his act together before it’s too late.”
Before it’s too late?
First of all, it’s pretty clear from the tone of the original interview that Pattinson is not really “living the wild life” at all. His hotel drinking happens when he can’t find a friend to hang out with when he has a free night. He’s not exactly rampaging through Hollywood clubs on an alcohol binge.
As for the morbid talk about Pattinson becoming a “Hollywood casualty” unless he’s saved from his drinking, it’s complete nonsense.
Pattinson occasionally drinks in his hotel when there’s nothing else going on – but he’s nowhere near “going off the deep end,” as the Enquirer contends. A source close to the actor tells Gossip Cop that Pattinson is enjoying his relationship, his career, and the free time he does manage to get.

“ROSIE & OPRAH: IT’S WAR” blares a headline from In Touch, which claims Rosie O’Donnell and Oprah Winfrey are butting heads over O’Donnell’s talk show on Winfrey’s network OWN.
According to a supposed “insider” for the tabloid, the former rivals are bickering about “everything from production details to guests.”
“Rosie isn’t used to having someone tell her what to do, but Oprah isn’t about to give up control,” explains the “source.”
Things supposedly got so heated between the talk show queens that Winfrey “hung up on Rosie after one tense conversation!”
No, she didn’t.
None of this ever happened.
O’Donnell and Winfrey are NOT feuding.
A rep for O’Donnell tells Gossip Cop the mag’s story is “absolutely absurd,” and calls it a “classic tabloid story made up about two women who are collaborating together and NOT pitted against one another.”
And an OWN spokesperson similarly notes In Touch’s tale is ”absolutely untrue.”

As his parents’ marriage dissolves, rumors continue to swirl linking Patrick Schwarzenegger to Miley Cyrus.
The stories originated with a National Enquirer piece which claims Cyrus is “heating up” with the “hunky 17-year-old son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver.”
According to the tab, the younger Schwarzenegger “recently confessed to having a crush on Miley – and now the two are dating.”
A source tells the Enquirer, “It’s early, but Miley is hoping to rope Patrick into a full-fledged romance. She thinks he’s way classier than her previous boyfriends and she’s betting that the connection will help improve her bad girl image.”
And the same so-called “source” says there’s something in it for Schwarzenegger, too.
“Patrick is ready for his close-up and he wants a gorgeous, famous actress on his arm,” explains the Enquirer insider. “Miley fits the bill perfectly.”
Actually, it just seems like the tabloid thinks a Cyrus-Schwarzenegger match “fits,” so it went with the premise – even though there’s nothing to it.
A source close to Cyrus tells Gossip Cop she’s “not dating” Schwarzenegger. “They’re not together,” we’re assured.
Of course, if we know anything about bad rumors, it’s this: They’ll be back.
