Jillian Michaels has completed paperwork to adopt a child from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Gossip Cop confirms.
In previous interviews, ”The Biggest Loser” star discussed her desire to start a family.
Now it looks like that day is closer – although exactly when Michaels will be able to adopt remains unknown.
A rep for the celebrity trainer tells Gossip Cop it could be tomorrow or in a year, but that at this point it’s just a waiting game until Michaels is matched with a child.
We’re told Michaels has no gender preference – she just wants a “happy, healthy baby.”

The Middleton family has contacted the Press Complaints Commission after two tabloids printed pictures of the Duchess of Cambridge and sister Pippa Middleton in bikinis.
The images show the sisters and mother Carole Middleton swimming and sunbathing on a yacht near Ibiza in 2006.
According to the Middletons, the photos’ publication violates PCC code since the vacationing family had “a reasonable expectation of privacy” on the private vessel.
Originally taken by a photo agency, the invasive shots were printed in the Mail on Sunday and the News of the World.
The later paper advertised its story as “topless pictures of Pippa Middleton,” as she can be seen removing her top in at least one shot.
Both papers have removed the photographs from their websites, although the tabloids and photo agencies could argue that the family was fair game since the photos had already been published five years ago and were therefore in the public domain.
Ten days after the marriage of the former Kate Middleton to Prince William, the family is attempting to establish boundaries of privacy for members including Pippa and brother James Middleton.
A separate batch of private photos showing James and Pippa partying and baring skin has circulated among U.S. sites, although British tabloids have agreed not to publish them.

The 2011 MTV Movie Awards ceremony is shaping up to be one of the most star-studded events of the summer.
Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Steve Carell, Jason Segel, Jesse Eisenberg, Aziz Ansari and Danny McBride have been added to the A-list lineup of presenters on the June 5 broadcast.
As Gossip Cop previously reported, Cameron Diaz, Selena Gomez,Emma Stone, Shia LaBeouf, Patrick Dempsey, Nicki Minaj, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Leighton Meester, Josh Duhamel and Katie Cassidy will also be handing out the golden popcorn statuettes.
“Saturday Night Live” star Jason Sudeikis is hosting the event.

Justin Bieber was violently ill throughout his concert in the Philippines last night.
Gossip Cop hears that several times throughout his performance in Manila, Bieber had to go backstage and throw up.
Nevertheless, the teen sensation powered through the show, and finished his entire 90-minute set.
Before the show, Bieber tweeted, “Sick as a dog…but the show must go on. got called a trooper. lol.”
And he was.
After the show, he noted on Twitter, “That show was great but tough. real sick. time to rest.”

Snoop Dogg and Rob Patterson have released “Winning” (featuring Charlie Sheen), an explicit little anthem based on the actor’s favorite catch phrase.
As Snoop makes clear, the song is for “winners” only.
He’s not a fan of “losers.”

Jermaine Dupri is a deadbeat dad, claims his baby mama in a lawsuit.
Sarai Jones is suing the music producer over missed child support payments after an Atlanta-area judge ordered Dupri to pay $2,500 per month and an additional $7,500, based on a paternity test.
DNA proved that Dupri and Jones have a seven-month-old daughter together.
Georgia records show that Dupri also owes the state more than $493,000 in back taxes for 2007.
His mansion was recently set to be auctioned after foreclosure.
Dupri has worked with major artists ranging from his ex, Janet Jackson, to Usher and Mariah Carey.

Chris Hemsworth has been offered the Huntsman role in Snow White and the Huntsman, starring Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron.
As Gossip Cop reported earlier this month, he jumped to the top of Snow White’s list after deals with actors Viggo Mortensen and Hugh Jackman failed to materialize.
The Aussie actor’s Thor won last weekend’s box office.
Sam Claflin, meanwhile, has been tapped to play the film’s prince.

Peter Andre has announced he is opening up his own coffee shop not far from his home in East Grinstead, England. As is with most small business owners, he hopes his business will be so successful that he can turn it into a country-wide chain. He explains:
“I’m opening a coffee shop very near where I live in the next couple of months and I’m really excited about it. It’s going to be in East Grinstead and I’m looking for some talented baristas to work there. I’m hoping it’ll be a chain eventually, but at the moment I just want to focus on the one shop. It makes sense for it to be near my house so that I can pop in and help out whenever they need me there!”
That part makes perfect sense. Why you wanted to open a coffee shop in the first place, not so much!
