Jennifer Lawrence has not been getting close to Liam Hemsworth following his split from Miley Cyrus, despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story. It’s completely fabricated.

According to NW, Lawrence has been helping her Hunger Games co-star get over his separation from Cyrus with “secrets texts and late-night phone calls.” An alleged insider tells the outlet “there’s always been a spark” between Lawrence and Hemsworth, and they immediately reconnected following his breakup.

The suspicious source goes on to describe the Hunger Games co-stars as “former flings,” adding, “Jen’s often said he’s pretty much her dream man, but they never quite got to the exclusive stage.” It should be noted, Lawrence admitted on Watch What Happens Live in 2015 that she once shared an off-screen kiss with her co-star, but it doesn’t seem the two ever actually dated.

Lawrence is also happily engaged to art gallery director Cooke Maroney, but the outlet’s “source” believe it’s possible “she’s having second thoughts about the wedding” now that Hemsworth is supposedly back in her life. The questionable tipster further contends that Hemsworth’s mom had wanted him to get together with Lawrence years ago, and had even begged him to date her instead of Cyrus. “Now it looks like she might just get her way,” adds the so-called “insider.”

Gossip Cop checked in with a trusted individual in Lawrence’s camp, who tells the the magazine’s story is “completely untrue.” Our reliable source confirms the actress hasn’t been getting close to Hemsworth following his recent split. The idea she’s considering dumping her fiancé for the actor is totally ludicrous and untrue.

In June, Lawrence described Maroney as “the greatest human being I’ve ever met” during an interview on a podcast hosted by former E! News reporter Catt Sadler. The actress added, “He really is, and he gets better.” Those hardly sound like the words of someone who would start having “second thoughts” about getting married because her former co-star has become newly single.

Additionally, NW has already proven to know very little about the actress’s relationship. In March, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Lawrence’s engagement was “in crisis” following a tense dinner date with her fiancé. The story was baseless.

Around the same time that article was published, Lawrence and Maroney were spotted smiling arm-in-arm while taking a stroll in New York City. The couple remains happily engaged and will walk down the aisle at some point in the near future. Hemsworth and Cyrus’ split hasn’t jeopardized their wedding plans, nor does the situation have anything to do with Lawrence. The claim otherwise is absurd.

Bradley Cooper has no involvement in Lady Gaga’s apparent new romance with her sound engineer, Dan Horton, despite multiple reports claiming otherwise. Gossip Cop has debunked several phony article dragging the actor into the situation. Here are a few rumors we’ve busted.

Immediately after Gaga and Horton were spotted kissing during a lunch date in Los Angeles last month, Woman’s Day claimed it was because Gaga had “moved on” from Cooper with a new man. However, one can’t “move on” from someone they were never dating. The story was predicated on the false notion that the A Star Is Born co-stars had been a couple. Separate reps for both Gaga and Cooper have said countless times that they’re just close friends. Gaga’s new romance isn’t coming on the heels of an imaginary one with her co-star.

Shortly after that, Gossip Cop busted Star for falsely claiming Gaga was faking her romance with Horton just to make Cooper jealous. The tabloid insisted that the PDA between the singer and her colleague was staged in an effort to “make Bradley realize what he’s missing.” There’s nothing fake about Gaga’s new relationship, which has absolutely nothing to do with her co-star, who’s just a good pal.

Gossip Cop later called out In Touch for wrongly alleging Gaga only started dating Horton because Cooper refused to commit to her. According to the magazine, the singer believed she’d be able to openly date her A Star Is Born co-star following his split from Irina Shayk, but he still wouldn’t settle down and go public. The main problem with the bogus report was that Cooper and Gaga have never been romantically involved. The singer herself confirmed this in an interview on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” earlier this year.

And finally, OK! Australia published a cover story claiming Cooper was “heartbroken” over Gaga’s new romance. The tabloid contended that although the actor was hesitant about going public with his co-star so soon after his breakup from Shayk, he was still deeply bothered by the photos of her kissing Horton. But just two weeks before the magazine published the story, it had written a contradictory one about Cooper being the one trying to convince Gaga to “go public.” Neither angle is remotely factual as the two stars have never been a couple. In reality, the tabloids have decided to arbitrarily involve Cooper in Gaga’s new romance, which simply doesn’t concern him.

Amy Poehler and Will Arnett are not clashing while co-parenting their two young sons, despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the phony drama. There’s simply no truth to it.

According to OK!, Poehler has been significantly busier since taking on a career as a director. The comedic actress directed the Netflix movie Wine Country and she’s gearing up to shoot another Netflix comedy titled Moxie. “She’s had to lean on Will to look after their sons [Archie, 10, and Abel, 9] a lot recently,” a supposed source tells the magazine.

The anonymous tipster adds, “He feels as if she’s taking advantage of him because she’s been making last-minute schedule changes, but her career’s at full throttle right now, so she feels she deserves more understanding.” The questionable insider further contends that the ex-spouses don’t get along, but they “try to keep up appearances in front of the kids. The situation is stressful for both of them.”

The tabloid’s premise doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Poehler was starring on the NBC show Parks and Recreation when she and Arnett split in 2012. In addition to headlining the hit series, she also wrote, produced and directed several episodes. That’s a whole lot of work, so the idea that she’s busier these days simply isn’t accurate.

Additionally, the ex-couple’s kids were obviously even younger when Poehler was working on her TV show, while Arnett has a busy career of his own. The two have managed to juggle work and parenting just fine since their breakup, so the notion that it’s suddenly issue because she’s directing movies doesn’t add up.

Meanwhile, the tabloid’s bogus story is based on claims from an unidentified “source,” but Gossip Cop reached out to a spokesperson for both Poehler and Arnett, who tells us it’s “laughably untrue.” Despite what the outlet’s untraceable “insider” says, a rep qualified to speak for both stars confirms they have no issues when it comes to co-parenting their kids.

Last year, Gossip Cop busted OK!’s sister publication, In Touch, for falsely claiming Arnett was developing a romance with Jennifer Aniston. As time has proven, the two stars never dated. Prior to that, we called out the magazine’s other sister outlet, RadarOnline, for making up a story about Poehler feuding with Will Ferrell. The gossip media doesn’t seem to know much about either star’s interpersonal relationships, including how they get along with each other.

Angelina Jolie and Chris Hemsworth don’t have much of a relationship, but the two stars have crossed paths a few times, which has resulted in false tabloid stories about them. Gossip Cop has debunked a handful of phony reports involving the pair. Here are a few examples.

Just last week, Gossip Cop busted Star for falsely claiming Jolie had slipped Hemsworth her phone number after both appeared together at the Marvel Studios panel at Comic Con. The two stars were on hand at the event to promote their separate superhero projects, but according to the outlet, Jolie has been pursuing the actor ever since. The tabloid maintained that Hemsworth is “oblivious” to the actress’s advances, but his wife Elsa Pataky went into a “jealous rage” when she learned Jolie had given him her digits.

Nothing about the story was remotely true. Not only did an individual in Jolie’s camp dismiss it as nonsense, but Pataky’s Instagram page is filled a plethora of evidence proving her relationship with Hemsworth is going strong. Following Comic Con, the actress posted a loving message to her husband in honor of his birthday, calling him her “favorite human being.” Jolie hasn’t come between the happy spouses.

Last year, RadarOnline wrongly alleged Jolie had a “secret plan to woo” Hemsworth after sitting next to him at the Golden Globe Awards. E! News, a much more reliable outlet, reported that the two stars ended up at the same table randomly, but the blog maintain that the actress had maneuvered her way to his table. A supposed source went on to say the actress was “begging her team” to find a project for her and Hemsworth to work on together, but with the ulterior motive of getting close to him.

Around the same time the article emerged, People magazine correctly reported that Jolie wasn’t interested in dating and was entirely focused on work and raising her kids. Meanwhile, Hemsworth is happily married with three children, and the suggestion that Jolie was looking to break up his family was totally baseless.

Prior to that, Gossip Cop called out Woman’s Day for falsely claiming Hemsworth had set up a date between Jolie and Tom Hiddleston, his co-star in the Thor franchise. The tabloid claimed Jolie was complaining about her love life while sitting next to Hemsworth at the Golden Globes, so he mentioned that Hiddleston “had the hots for her, and Ange said she liked him too.” From there, the publication insisted that Jolie and Hiddleston were texting nonstop and setting up a dinner date. That entire scenario was fictional. As time has proven, the two stars aren’t an item and never got together.

And finally, Gossip Cop busted NW last year for kicking off the phony narrative about Jolie “crushing on” Hemsworth. The outlet said the Thor star reminded Jolie of a young Brad Pitt, so she pitched a “Mr. & Mrs. Smith-style blockbuster” for the two to star in together. A Jolie insider assured us the story was “absurd.” As opposed to working together, the two are starring in completely separate projects for Marvel.

Tori Spelling hasn’t been invited to join the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills because she’s “too poor”? That’s the ridiculous premise in one of this week’s tabloids. Gossip Cop looked into it and found the story nonsensical.

Spelling, despite being born in and living in Beverly Hills, has yet to be asked to star in the latest run of Real Housewives. According to the National Enquirer, mysterious sources are apparently spilling the “truth” about why Spelling hasn’t joined the cast. “Tori just isn’t wealthy enough for the show,” says an alleged tipster

“Each lady gets a decent salary, but their expenses are their responsibility,” adds the seemingly phony source. “Tori simply can’t keep up! At this point, her multi-millionaire mom, Candy Spelling, has a better chance at getting on the show than she does!”

Gossip Cop can pinpoint exactly where the Enquirer got its inspiration for this latest bit of fiction. Earlier this month, Spelling appeared on an episode of Jenny McCarthy’s SiriusXM show along with 90210 co-star Jennie Garth. McCarthy asked the two if they’ve ever been asked to join the RHOBH, prompting a conversation about Spelling’s disappointment about her lack of an invitation. The Enquirer obviously spun this off as a story about the actress’s wealth.

While it is true that Spelling has had some financial issues over the years, that doesn’t quite translate to a reason she wouldn’t be considered for RHOBH. Spelling’s legal cases and financial troubles actually translate to juicy drama for the reality show. Bravo has never shied away from that kind of drama — the network has actually embraced it.

Take, for example, Teresa Giudice from RHOBH’s sister show, Real Housewives of New Jersey. Giudice and her husband filed for bankruptcy months after the start of the first season. The couple was also tried and convicted of fraud between the sixth and seventh seasons, and Giudice’s 11-month stint in prison delayed production.

If declaring bankruptcy and going to prison weren’t reasons enough to remove Giudice from the franchise, it doesn’t make much sense that that Spelling’s financial situation is costing her an offer on the show. The reality of this reality show is that she simply hasn’t been asked. There are a lot of women living in Beverly Hills who haven’t been asked either.

The Enquirer is no stranger to making up drama for a show that already has enough drama as it is. Last November, the tabloid came up with a story about Bethenny Frankel purposefully blocking Jill Zarin from returning to the New York edition of the show. Shortly before that, the tabloid published a phony story about Julie Chen joining RHOBH. The Enquirer really doesn’t need to keep creating false scenarios for a reality show that’s already filled with conflict.

A tabloid claims Meg Ryan is calling off her wedding to John Mellencamp after getting a botched nose job. The story is entirely false. Gossip Cop can correct it.

According to the Globe, the actress underwent a few nips and tucks in preparation for tying the knot, but the plan “backfired big-time.” An alleged insider maintains that Ryan’s nose appeared “pinched and narrow” when she attended Paris Fashion Week last month, adding, “There’s something seriously off with that sniffer. Her wonky nose was the talk of the town.”

The alleged insider adds, “Bless Meg, she just wants to look her best for her wedding day, but she’s gone the wrong way about it.” The anonymous tipster goes on to say that Ryan has now postponed her marriage plans. “She just wants everything to be perfect for her big day, and that includes her face,” adds the seemingly phony source.

The tabloid’s story is based on claims from an untraceable “insider,” but separate reps for both Ryan and Mellencamp call it an “absurd fabrication.” Spokespeople for both the actress and the musician confirm they haven’t pushed back wedding plans due to a plastic surgery mishap.

Earlier this month, in fact, Ryan said in an interview with InStyle magazine that she’s “going to get married at some point,” but “for now this engagement thing is a state of grace.” The actress got engaged to Mellencamp last year and simply isn’t rushing down the aisle. The couple didn’t have a wedding in the works, so nothing has been postponed. It should be noted, Gossip Cop looked at photos of the actress at Paris Fashion Week last month and her nose didn’t look any different than it has in the past.

It should also be mentioned, this isn’t the first time that Gossip Cop has had to debunk a false story surrounding the actress’s wedding plans. Last year, we busted the Globe’s sister outlet, the National Enquirer, for wrongly reporting Tom Hanks would be walking Ryan down the aisle.

Ryan wasn’t even engaged to Mellencamp at the time that story was published, but the magazine insisted she’d be getting married in South Carolina that fall, and Hanks would play a major role in the ceremony. The fictional scenario clearly didn’t pan out.

This also wouldn’t be the first time we’ve had to shoot down a false report involving the actress’s appearance. Gossip Cop previously called out the Enquirer for making up a story about Ryan “battling an anorexia nightmare.” This latest article is more nonsense.

A fake story in one of the tabloids says Hailey Baldwin is putting off her wedding to Justin Bieber due to trust issues. Gossip Cop looked into the claim. It’s wholly false.

The latest issue of Star published the piece titled, “Hailey: Dragging Her Feet On Wedding Over Trust Issues.” It alleges that Baldwin has been delaying her nuptials with Bieber. Although the two are technically already married, they didn’t have a wedding or religious ceremony.

“Justin and Hailey planned on having a big ‘dream wedding’ after their courthouse nuptials,” says a supposed source, “but it kept getting pushed back.” The couple got engaged in July 2018. They quietly received a marriage license that September.

“Hailey and Justin have a lot of deep-seated issues,” adds the magazine’s supposed insider. “Justin is very needy and has a lot of baggage from his tumultuous relationship with Selena. They were on and off in the past, so there are trust issues lingering in their relationship.” The outlet is referring to fellow pop star Selena Gomez, with whom Bieber did indeed share an on-and-off relationship intermittently in the years between 2010 and 2018.

“They want to have a strong foundation before they say their vows in front of God and their families,” says the source. “They have more work to do because they’re not there yet. Who knows if they’ll ever have the wedding?”

This claim comes on the heels of the leak of what appears to be the couple’s wedding invitations. TMZ received photos of the invitation from one of Bieber or Baldwin’s guests. The wedding is apparently slated to take place in September in South Carolina, which certainly counters Star‘s claims about Baldwin’s uncertainty. Although Gossip Cop is working on confirming the authenticity of these invitations, we can confirm that the tabloid’s story is untrue.

What is the publication’s big tipoff that there are “trust issues” between the two? Simply that Baldwin accidentally commented on a post from Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, before realizing she was logged into Bieber’s account and not her own. It’s an easy mistake to make when you live together and share a lot of the same devices, especially when you’re part of a celebrity couple that may need to use each other’s social media for publicity reasons.

The weirdest part of this story is the fact that it refers to Bieber and Baldwin’s marriage as though it didn’t happen or count. If Baldwin was truly uncertain about Bieber’s commitment, why would she sign the marriage license? If she was worried about their foundation, why would she change her name to Hailey Bieber? The tabloids article makes no sense.

The Bieber-Baldwin marriage is a common target for bad information. Just last week, fans mistook Bieber’s casual visit to a dance studio as a sign of an upcoming ceremony. Don’t even get us started on the amount of “Hailey Baldwin is pregnant with Justin Bieber’s baby!” stories that Gossip Cop has debunked. We’ll keep busting these phony stories.

A tabloid claims Angelina Jolie is “devastated” over her oldest child Maddox leaving for college, to the point where she’s having a breakdown. The story is very dramatic and inaccurate. Gossip Cop can debunk it.

Jolie’s 18-year-old son whom she adopted in 2003 from Cambodia prior to her marriage to Brad Pitt, who become his adoptive father in 2005, went away to college in South Korea this month. According to the National Enquirer, Jolie “has slumped into terrified helplessness” over her son leaving home. The fictitious story maintains that the actress was seen “ashen faced” when she was spotted leaving a restaurant in Malibu. The tabloid quotes “moles” as saying that the Maleficent star is scared of “being alone” as her children get older and star “fleeing the nest.”

The “moles” are further quoted as saying, “It won’t be long before [15-year-0ld] Pax follows Maddox to college,” followed by her four younger children until they all leave her “alone.” Th so-called source maintains that Jolie’s “a wreck” over the thought of this, but Gossip Cop looked into the claim and it’s simply not true.

In fact, a video of Jolie and her son arriving at Yonsei University popped up on Instagram this week. The actress got emotional while dropping her son off for his first year of college, and while she understandably has mixed emotions, she was hardly “devastated” as the tabloid claims.

In the video, which was reposted by Entertainment Tonight, Jolie says she “trying not to cry,” but it’s clear she is very proud of Maddox and reacting just the way one would expect any parent to react when their child goes off to school, with both pride and some normal worry.

Earlier this month, ET also posted a story about Maddox’s 18th birthday revealing that Jolie “loves [Maddox] and is so proud of how wise he is beyond his years. She has encouraged him to travel nonstop, to learn many languages, and now has plans for him to go to university overseas.” It’s hard to believe the actress would be upset over Maddox doing exactly what she has always encouraged him to do.

It’s worth noting that the Enquirer often runs false stories about Jolie’s children. Earlier this summer, the tabloid wrongly reported that the Jolie-Pitt kids were demanding their own zoo, and Jolie, along with Pitt, were building one for them. That report was totally fabricated, as is this latest one. An individual in Jolie’s camp confirms she’s not having a nervous breakdown over Maddox going away to school.

In the lead-up to Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger’s June wedding, the tabloids published several false and made-up stories. They covered everything from the pre-wedding celebrations to post-wedding clashes. Here are a few examples of the ones we busted.

Earlier this year, the Sun published a fake story about Pratt partying at a London strip club to celebrate his engagement to Schwarzenegger. It was alleged that after finishing up some promotion for The Lego Movie 2, the actor went on to spend thousands of dollars on champagne and women. This scenario even went as far as Pratt cheering along a performer before joking about marrying her. The tabloid further stated that the partying infuriated Schwarzenegger’s father, Arnold, who was already angry with Pratt.

In reality, however, there weren’t any tensions between Pratt and Schwarzenegger’s famous dad, especially as a result of any strip club shenanigans. Gossip Cop checked with our source in Pratt’s camp, who told us the report was fictional. The absolute lack of photos of Pratt entering or exiting the club, as well Pratt’s devout faith, further reduce the odds of this narrative being even remotely true.

In April, the National Enquirer came up with a story about Pratt requesting country legend Garth Brooks play at his wedding. Citing an unnamed “source,” Pratt apparently asked Brooks to sing for his “winter wedding.” Brooks, in turn, “was happy to sing as his wedding gift to him and his bride.”

Not only did Pratt and Schwarzenegger get married in the summer, but we even checked with Brooks’ spokesperson, who told us on the record that the article was “not true.” The report was entirely based on a surprise performance at the iHeartRadio Music Awards where Pratt performed with Brooks. Other than that, there was no truth to it.

The worst by far was when OK! put out their mid-June issue with a story about Pratt and Schwarzenegger calling off their wedding because they weren’t “ready” to marry. Pratt was “noncommittal” and began “dressing sloppily,” much to Schwarzenegger’s chagrin, according to the outlet. Although Pratt supposedly told her he was still ready, she didn’t accept his claim and the two called it off.

In reality, Pratt and Schwarzenegger had already wed four days before the tabloid hit the newsstands. So much for the magazine’s claims of “cold feet” and Arnold’s crushing “disappointment.” Gossip Cop has rarely seen a story become so outdated before it’s even been published.

The Enquirer wasn’t done coming up with stories about the couple once they were actually married. Earlier this month, the tabloid published an article alleging that Pratt and Schwarzenegger were fighting over kids and money, as well as adjusting to their roles in the marriage. “Chris wants Katherine to be a stay-at-home wife and mom,” said a source. “She feels she has a lot to achieve. The way she sees it, she’s only 29 and there’s plenty of time.” Their “insider” even claimed that Schwarzenegger enjoys shopping a little too much, and Pratt “throws a fit” whenever she makes a big purchase.

In reality, however, the two were spotted kissing during a date night in Malibu and happily spending time together at the beach and a yoga class. Pratt even gushed about their “honeymoon phase” in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. Those aren’t exactly the signs of a marriage on the rocks.

The tabloids have managed to get Pratt and Schwarzenegger’s relationship wrong at every stage. We’d almost be impressed if it weren’t so frustrating. Instead, Gossip Cop will just continue to search for the truth in the face of these stories.
